I have to question, what do they add to their food ? Yet I dare not! Is it a misytical magical potion. For two weeks they close their doors. Where are they? When will they return? I will be there early in the morning knocking on those doors . Let me in! I can not breath, I can not sleep. I want my delicious everything bagels with cream cheese and coffee. this place is simply perfect. I can’t think of a better-tasting salad I’ve ever had (nor soup). the bread and shortbread are delightful and the french press coffee fresh and rich. come here next time you’re in the area!

Stopped by this morning! The worker was so nice and helpful- got two coffees and a variety of pastries- all were delicious but the berry turnover was TO DIE FOR. I couldn’t believe how addictive that crust was! Would definitely come back!

This is honestly my favorite bakery in Milwaukee. When I lived in the area I frequented the Cafe often and the owner was ALWAYS so kind and conversational. Even with moving 30 minutes away, I still make it a point to visit if I'm in the area during business hours.
Their soup, salad, and bread combination NEVER fails. Tea is exceptional. And staff is always genuinely kind.
I can't wait to be bake in that part of the city so that I can get my amaranth fix.
