Solly's Grille

If your looking for a true diner this fits the bill, breakfast was awesome hash browns were crispy and some of the best french toast I have ever eaten!!!! The waitress was awesome great conversation and laughs :)

The ORIGINAL butter burger location did not disappoint when we visited and left me with an experience that will see me return! Solly's wasn't too busy when we visited for a Friday night but we did arrive early on purpose to ensure that we would miss the rush. Upon arrival I did see the double arches bar seating only but found the seating to be pretty good and comfortable. The people were very friendly and upon being greeted we were told we could sit on either side. Our server was very friendly and took our order right away. She also informed us that there was only one slice of Door County Cherry Pie remaining, to which I immediately said we would take it. Our order was put in and our server came with the pie boxed up so that we could take it home. The original butter burger is why I came so I was really excited to give it a try. Crinkle cut fries came out first and immediately following was the butter burger right on time. The server prepped the fries while the grill was taken care of but the timing was in harmony. The burger does have a good amount of butter which makes it awesome! It is a steak burger & not ground beef making it different from something you would get in other places. The fries were good and crispy. We also got a patty melt meal which had the same goodness but didn't have as much butter so a good balance if you don't want to go all in on the butter. One thing I didn't notice but should call out is that they have red cream soda so if you are a fan of this like I am then you can get that with your order too. Finally we had some caramel cinnamon apple pie with ice cream which was awesome. We got a cookie too just to try them and I will say they seemed to be more of a soft grocery store bought consistency than a homemade fresh baked feel. At home we gave the Door Country cherry pie a try which was good with just the right tart / sweet taste. I would highly recommend stopping by here and I will be back here myself as well for THE original butter burger!

Me and my father saw this on one of the food Network channels about their butter burger so we just had to go. We got there just as they open for breakfast and they serve everything all day we each had a butter burger they're chili which is amazing and a real deal vanilla malt milkshake. This was absolutely some of the best food of the entire trip The staff there were great personable love talking and answering questions you could tell the grill master knows what He's doing he was like a machine just cranking out food it was truly amazing. The menu was incredible The service was fast Price was great and while we were in there people just kept coming in for takeout orders butter burgers everywhere as we were leaving and started to get pretty packed so it is a must go to if you're in Milwaukee for food

A classic burger joint and our waitress Kim was awesome!! Hadn't been there in about 5 yrs. Now that my son is at UW Milwaukee I will have a reason to stop back more often!

The original burger with cheese is amazing, however they do use a LOT of butter so if you don't like butter this isn't for you. Their fries are great too. They have nice thick shakes and they give you enough for like 2 ½ shakes, banana is my favorite

Stop here on a recommendation from a friend who grew up In Milwaukee and it didn’t disappoint. A quaint little counter service diner. I had the Solly and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. But how can you beat the combo of a butter burger with cheese and bacon. The side of cheese curds we also top notch.
