I haven't eaten here in over 15 years. I was living here when they first opened many many years ago. I was disappointed in the reviews but I'm glad I went. The food and service was fantastic. The carne asada was delicious with the gallopinto, platano and fried queso and the cacao. I know there's different owners but glad to see the food is still good.
I’ve come here for many years and it’s a small slice of home right in Kendall. The food is hot and ready or made to order and the atmosphere is very Nica! They recently made some renovations and it’s beautiful. Always a go to for take out or dining in
Overall very good place to grab a quick bite of “home styled Nicaraguan food” keep in mind this place gets slammed at lunch time!
I’ve been coming here for special meals for over 25 years! This place is a classic Miami institution.
My favorite has always been the carne asada, rice and beans, ripe fried plantains and of course, the side of fried Nicaraguan white cheese.
The decor is very “Latin America”—from the “telenovela” playing on the TV, so the old looking furnishing and decor (same as long as I can remember). But then again, people don’t come here for modern fancy decor—they come for food and ambiance that reminds them of Nicaragua (...or because the food is just darn good!).
Portions are huge — I eat at least 2 meals out of one serving. For a couple bucks more, I get an extra strip of steak. They also stock Latin American sodas like Inca Cola and Jupiña.
Parking can be crowded sometimes, so I like to drive in from Sunset Drive and park across from the bank ATM behind the restaurant. Expect lines if you arrive during dinner time 5-6pm. Totally worth it!!

Delicious Nicaraguan food . If you’re in Miami , they have different locations in the Kendall area . Food is always fresh and served right in front of you .
Very affordable and delicious. Fast service. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes they are serving.
Excellent Latin food. Steak in particular was juicy and soft. Went there at end of day so choices were limitted.
Good parking.
Inexpensive. The take out meal is more than enough for 2.

Love this place. Food is great and the girls are always nice. The people complaining about customer service must really live in a bubble. I've been coming here probably 20 years and will never stop.
The food is absolutely delicious, freshly made and very filling! They give you a lot of food. To put things in perspective, I normally eat my wife’s leftovers when we go out to eat because I eat a lot. But, when we order from here, I have a hard time finishing the food. You can’t go wrong ordering from this place. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but you will thank me if you go here! Everything is delicious, but my go to is rice with beans, steak, fried cheese and fried plantains! You’re welcome.
