I was born next door to Pete's when Mesa Southside Hospital was a thing and I've been a fan since my earliest memories, so I didn't want to like Pirate's, (lots of back story/Mesa history I'm gonna leave out) but now that I live way closer to Pirates than Pete's, I'm grateful for them. If your looking for cheap fried food drenched to your liking in a yummy sauce, you really can't complain. I go fairly often. If you've ever had food prepared by a Michelin rated chef, you may not want to even try Pirates, but if you love that good trashy food from the fryer, there's nothing really to complain about here.
I was a little skeptical to stop by due to bad reviews but was craving fried fishies. Overall the food was a 8 out of 10 . The fish had a nice crisp and tasted good . The shrimp could of been better but still good . Dont knock it till you try it .
Don't let the appearance fool you, The food is cooked fresh and its really delicious!!

Can't beat the price. Super cheap, very fast. Good fries. Love the burger. Hands down better than all fastfood burgers and much cheaper.
No Inside Seating; but they have picnic tables under shade and misters are on.
No cocktail sauce, but they offer hot sauce
Somewhat friendly staff.

I always order the fish and chips and enjoy with their pirates secret sauce. They only have outdoor seating which is bearable in summers with misters.
Pirates Fish and Chips is seriously one of my favorite places to eat! Their prices are amazing and the food is so good!! If you go here, you need to get extra sauce!! It's unbelievable good, you will regret it if you don't get more!
It was a toasty day and didn't want to cook. Puppy and I decided to go and get some fish and chips, and a burger patty for her. Waited in drive thru for awhile, but it was worth it. The meal came out hot and fresh. The meal was good.the people were nice and friendly. This was my first time and yes we will return again.
Great food, reasonable prices. As a lover of Pete’s F&C, I can say that Pirate’s is dang near identical! Will be stopping by for more in the future!
