Great atmosphere! We arrived around 7 on a Friday night and it was not too busy. Service was perfect! Everything we ordered tasted fantastic. This was our first time trying this place, and will come back if we are in the area again. Sushi was really good!
I love love love the food here it’s amazing! If Gordon Ramsey himself ate here he would love it! Kind & friendly atmosphere, I had a pickup order I ordered over the phone and it was ready right on time! The staff is very friendly and I highly recommend! BEST HIBACHI IN MEMPHIS
Great sushi! Highly recommend the hurricane roll which is tempura fried and the stone roll which has salmon in it. The spicy garlic butter edamame was so good! I saved the sauce from it to dip my sushi in! Check this place out if you’re down on south main.
I got takeout on a weeknight during Covid-19 times. They were very accommodating and helped me make an order. Side salad with ginger dressing and miso soup were very good. Sushi was very good as well, raw seemed very fresh and eel was very tasty. I’ll be back!
Service was outstanding, but the food was slow to come out. We arrived fairly early- around 6 pm- so it wasn't very busy. Everything was tasty and worth the wait.

I placed an order here and let me tell you the food and staff were amazing! I called in and the person on the phone was extremely nice and helpful on things I wanted and also gave me wonderful recommendations. They were really on point from when I called and when I needed by order by.
Upon arrival, everyone greeted me and was really friendly. I had to wait a bit because it was busy but I just sat down at the bar and also had a drink. The person who served me was really nice. My platter was ready so I just finished my drink and paid. I was really excited about my platter I had ordered. Everything looked so good and fresh! It was too pretty to eat!
The sushi was amazing! The quality was fresh and the presentation of it all was excellent. They gave me the perfect amount of wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger as well. Most restaurants skimp you out of those things but I was given more than enough! Chopsticks were also in the bag which is a plus because some places forget these little important items.
I really enjoyed the food and the customer service that everyone gave me. Everywhere is short staffed in general but south main did an amazing job from when I called and picked up my order. I will definitely be returning!
If you are looking for a good sushi spot make sure you go here you don't want to miss out on this gem!

Great spot on South Main! The bartender was pleasant, and the music was at a comfortable level. The ceilings are high and the building has a lot history!

We were traveling thru Memphis today and decided on sushi to go for dinner. A quick search turned up South Main Sushi. We ordered the Fin roll, Flower roll, Soft Shell Crab roll, and chicken fried rice. All 4 were excellent. The Flower roll is probably the best sushi I have had to date. I can't speak to their service for a dine in experience, but the service we recieved while ordering over the phone and picking up our order was polite and quick. This will definitely become our go to place for sushi when we travel through the area!
