I can't explain the fried pork chop and how much I was happy to eat it. I wish I'd been in town long enough to come back for lunch. Wonderful food. Great people. Worth it.

I was looking for breakfast around Memphis downtown close to my hotel and I stumbled upon this place. I confessed to the gentleman that served us that I never had grits. So he served it for free. It's an unforgettable experience!!! That's southern hospitality at its finest.
Food was good 😊. The grits were great!!

1st time customer from out of state and was pleased with the service. No wait. Our meal was cooked fresh and the owner was a pleasure to meet. The only thing that could have been improved was that the ice was out and I needed ice!

Food was good. Limited menu. My wife wanted one egg but they would only do two because that's what was on the menu. "Locals diner" atmosphere, which was fine. Friendly enough overall.

We purposely dined here because it is a black owned restaurant. It did not disappoint!
The fried chicken was so yummy and a great amount of crispy! The sweet yams were soo good and flavored well.
The owner was friendly to us and I found out later how much history he has lived through! So cool he was with MLK!!
There are plenty of seats as well. We took a bus here so I’m not sure about parking.
The food is good!

Willie (The son) was at the register taking our order. He had amazing customer service and was definitely attentive to my son. We asked a few questions and he answered them with no problem. We had pancakes for my son (3) and his mom and myself had the chicken and waffles. He came to us after we sat down and informed us that it came with eggs. We did not know and took care of us. Heard my son saying he wanted eggs from around the corner and even made some eggs for him. Greatly appreciated that because I wanted to eat my own eggs. Son was the first to dig in and he immediately said his pancakes were really good. They were thick. He was also asking for more eggs after he finished his. Son is 6 by the way. Wings were good and crispy and the waffle was good as well and thick. Syrup was okay, but that's about the only thing I and my son's mother weren't 100% completely satisfied with. The main reason I haven't given them 5 stars is because I'm want to come back and try some of the other dishes as well. Overall it was a Great and filling breakfast.

Went in with my whole family for breakfast and everything was cooked fresh! I absolutely loved the chicken and waffles and the grits were amazing. The gentleman at the front was super friendly and great with conversation. Made us feel like we were back home talking with family!

My family was nervous when I brought them here, it's definitely seen better days. Some of the best eats you'll have. Was definitely in my top three for favorite chicken and Waffles. Super friendly staff. I guarantee if you give it a try you won't regret it.

Simple diner with amazing flavor! If you are looking for some authentic southern cookin look no further! Willie Moore’s Restaurant consists of a cafeteria style line and plates which can be ordered and served at your table.
We ordered the breakfast plates. The pancakes and bacon were made to perfection.
Willie Moore’s story adorns the walls dating back to marching with Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and rebounding from a fire that burned his first restaurant to the ground.
Highly recommend supporting this local gem!

Ahhhh, the infamous Willie Moore! I had read Google reviews that made me question whether I wanted to go. Thank goodness I didn't listen and went for myself! There's not many people in this day and time that b you can meet and talk to who have marched with Dr King. Mr. Willie Moore has done that! And at 74 years old being in business for n over 50 years, he speaks his mind. His motto is F.Y.K.M.A. You're going to have to go there and ask him to explain it to you. I enjoyed my breakfast but was a little shocked when it came up to $17. But I didn't complain, just didn't know. The pancakes were excellent! My pattie sausage was greasy so I had to use napkins to soak all that out of the meat and off my plate. I also got a piece of caramel cake for later. It comes with homemade ice cream but I forgot to get it. Was too full from my breakfast. Go see Mr. Willie Moore and ask about his motto. Lol
