I recently had 117 Prime for lunch. It’s in a great central location for businesses downtown. The service was fantastic. From walking in to walking out, everyone was warm and welcoming. Our server was perfectly attentive and provided great insights on the menu. And he kept us updated on the kitchen and when we should expect our food, ensuring that our glasses were constantly filled throughout. I ordered the salmon, which was tasty and just the right size for lunch. A couple of my friends with me ordered the burger and fries. They said the burger was just as good as the server advertised. And the fries I stole from my friend’s plate were great. I can’t wait to go back!

Finally made it to 117 Prime last night - even exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere and service throughout were impeccable, and the steaks outstanding. Avoided the temptation of the multiple available sauces, since wanted to check-out the taste of the charcoal & hickory wood grilling. They got it right for sure - not a flavor you will get elsewhere (slightly crispy on the outside with distinct flavor imparted by the charcoal/hickory wood fire - maybe should ditch the mesquite I've been using at home). With the steak, I ordered a side of the "dirty" brussel sprouts grilled/served in an iron skillet - best you'll get outside of Bavaria. Ordered the raw oysters to start, and they were great, and appropriately served on a metal tray with a shaved ice bed.

A very nice and elegant place to go to. The service is very good and friendly. The food I had was very good but did not include any main entrees. The atmosphere is very nice with a long bar on the left side and tables on the right when you enter. Being casual is not a problem but your wallet will not be casual either. However, it does not necessarily mean that you will have to dole out buckets of cash. They do have a "Prime Time" happy hour from 4-6 daily with $1.50 Gulf oysters and several other food choices as well as house wines, beers and select cocktails. I had "She-crab soup" from the main menu and "Korean duck wings" from the Prime Time menu. For dessert I had the carrot cake which was delicious and very southern. They have their own pastry chef who makes all of their desserts in house from scratch. I was not disappointed and surely recommend 117 Prime for a nice time out and for a romantic dinner date.

Really delicious steaks and a great atmosphere in Memphis. Typical steakhouse prices where everything was ala carte. Best value on the menu is the Wagyu coulotte, 8 ounces on the menu for $34. My husband ate 2 for his meal and it was cheaper than the 16 ounce ribeye. It's a very tender cut with great marbling. I had the filet and added some shrimp. We also ordered the garlic butter, regular butter, and some flakey salt which were all perfect toppers to the perfectly cooked steaks. Great options for a nice night out for keto/carnivore/low carb.

It was classic - felt like taking a step back in time. The bartender made you feel like you were at Cheers- where everybody knows your name. The drinks were superb and the food delicious. Service was impeccable.

This is a nice place with a few rules that I personally, have never experience. It may be like this for other nice restaurants. I came with a party of 12 people. I googled the menu. I understand if things that were sold, is no longer sold here, like salmon. But it was happy hour and the Prime Burger was on my radar, but you have to sit at the bar get the special or the burger. My party was meeting for the first time and there was not room for my entire party at the bar. I didn't want to be rude and leave my party. I enjoyed the company, the crab bisque, with the dinner rolls. The dessert was good. I understand about the food menu, which caused me to order at another restaurant when I left this one, but the happy hour not being offered at the dinner table, is not. I was starving and soup and potatoes with creme brulee for dessert was $60. The server was pretty good.

An absolutely phenomenal dining experience! The service was impeccable and the food was divine! The steak was perfectly charred on the outside and a warm pink on the inside just as it was ordered...and the truffle butter...😍!!!! The crab stuffed flounder was light and flaky and seasoned to perfection. The oysters weren't the "chargrilled" we were expecting, but they were extremely fresh and plump! I highly recommend visiting soon if you haven't already!

We ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared the 18 ounce bone in ribeye that was cooked medium rare to medium which is how we wanted it. The collard greens and potatoes au gratin were delicious. Our server, Chris, was very attentive and explained everything on the menu to us. The hostess was very nice and seated us promptly. The atmosphere was wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant!

My first review of 2023 goes to one of my favorite steak houses in the city, 117 Prime! 117 prime always gives suburb service, cocktails, and food! Fairly new, they have continued to give the service that they started out with! Connected to Belle Tavern, a Memphis gem, they not only offer a fine dining atmosphere but the opportunity to switch vibes If needed. The sides are shareble, and everything is pretty much a la cart! And oh, they have this homemade worcestershire sauce that should be bottled and sold in stores!! They still have happy hour every day from 4-6 that they are opened but now their hours of operation are Tuesday - Saturday. If you haven't been, I suggest stopping by soon. P.S I wanted to add an example of the service I always receive! I called them for a reservation for NYE and while every restaurant I called was extremely nice, 117 we above expectations! They were booked but informed me that they would have plenty of bar space and that if I came eyarly, I would have a seat. They were right! It took the hostess like 3 mins to find a space for us.

I was focused on taking my time and enjoying every bite and this was the best place for that. My waiter was courious, helpful, and fun. They have the best happy hour in town! Menu is solid with fair prices. I had the filet which was delightful. The Brussels sprouts were amazing and the loaded baked potato is the size of a Volkswagen. The fresh chives really set it off. Alexa visited the table to make sure everything was good. I appreciated that. I had a great experience!

Stumbled upon this gem by chance and did not regret my decision. We didn’t have a reservation so opted to sit at the bar. Even with this the service was top notch to that you’d expect table-side. The staff was all hands on deck where not just our waiter made sure we were taken care of. Onto the food itself. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered vs. ordering at a temp lower to avoid the meat coming out overcooked (a commonality at most steakhouses). Portions were VERY generous and of good value. In a city known mainly for it’s barbecue it can sometimes be hard to find places that don’t fit into that category. Definitely give Prime a try if you’re in the mood for a nice steak. Very convenient, especially if you’re staying at the Peabody (2 minute walk).
