Like no other place on earth. Literally the best place to eat and drink in the world. Are there other bars in Memphis? If so, I am unaware.
Young Avenue Deli is more than a restaurant or a bar. It is an iconic staple in Cooper Young with excellent food. The come as you are atmosphere invites people from all walks of life to eat a meal, enjoy some music, or sip a cold one on the patio. I personally love my wings double dipped, my Stiegl with a shot of gin (Thanks Tessa), and a heaping side of pimento cheese fries with extra ranch. I’ll give ya 5 stars but if I could give 10 I would.
Super cute and fun bar. Plenty of space inside and out. Really enjoyed my banana moon pie ice cream dessert. It took a while for a waitress to come, and it took a long time to pay. I ended up leaving the table to meet the waitress at the register. Would have been 5 stars if the waitress was more attentive. I’d come back for beers.
Great spot, up there with the best sandwiches and salads in town. The salad is full of toppings, probably 50% toppings vs. lettuce. Ranch is on point, so gooood. Service was great until it came time for the check - had to ask 3 times for it. Like that they run the food from the kitchen as soon as it's made so it's fresh. Like the outdoor seating, dog-friendliness and parking is usually not a big issue. Good vibes, highly recommend.
Was there on the night of a fight and it was a good time! They have several projectors to watch but it does get packed. Got the breaded mozzarella sticks and sweet potato fries. Those were both DELICIOUS. I don’t normally like sweet potato fries but these are coated in cinnamon sugar and are super tasty.
Absolutely loved this place, I had a Togo order and went to pick it up, the lady was so sweet. She gave me a little bit of the history about the place, was so interesting. I took a couple pictures of some of the cool stuff inside. They actually have a working cigarette machine lol
First time going. Heard they had really good food. The service was amazing for the crowd they had. I ordered a cheeseburger cooked medium with egg and it was a little too raw for me as the burger was bigger than I expected else I would have ordered medium well. Halfway through I just couldn't take eating the raw meat. My waitress had them redo the entire burger. All and all it was a good experience. Lots of beer to choose from, but I got a margarita. Nice late night spot to hang out with friends. Tried the fried moon pie and it was amazing!
'The Deli' has been serving a wide variety of beer for many years. Gotta check out the mozzarella sticks! You'll probably be surprised. They can be extremely busy at times so the service may be a tad slower than their norm. Live music, trivia, pool tables.. even chalk for the black-painted bathrooms, lol.. Extra large open main area adds to the atmospheric 'feel'
Chicken salad is interesting and has a specific spice combination but the sourdough bread is great. Their house made ranch is great with the fried artichoke hearts! I’ve never had fried artichoke hearts but will definitely come again for them.
Daniel is the absolute best bartender I've ever had the experience of having. He's friendly, personable, fun, engaging and never leaves you feeling like you have to ask for a refill. He is the sole reason I'll come back here.
10/10 can't wait to come see him again!
Industrial decor local sports pub with pretty good food and great beer selection. Staff isn't anything great but ina re-newed artsy part of town. Host local and national music. Outdoor dog friendly patio. Parking in rear, sometimes tight. Gay friendly.
Food is pretty good. They have live music sometimes. This place was really awesome 15 years ago. It's not as cool now but it's just as busy.
