Everyone in our group loved their meals. My salmon served island style was prepared in a surprising way—with toasted coconut—and it was amazing. The cornbread pudding dessert was a unique spin on the dish. Creative food makes for a fun dining experience.
Food is amazing and the staff is awesome. A great place to take your family or a date. There is a great view of the lake.
Our first visit. Wonderful atmosphere, not busy @11am on Father's Day. Dine indoors only? Beautiful day, we would have preferred to sit outdoors, on the cool patio. Polite & timely service. Confusion on mimosas...no champagne? But used 7up & cranberry/grape juice??🤔 (Not a mimosa.) Burrito with smoked pork was outstanding! Quiche was actually a casserole, lacking flavor. French toast was impressive in presentation & rich flavor.
Prices were appropriate & fair. (Except the $6 fake mimosa.) It's not Denny's or McDonald's, thank goodness!
We'll be back for an evening dinner on the patio. Hoping that my review improves. I really wanted to give 5 stars.
First time going there today and quite honestly was taken back by how delicious the food was. So many flavors in such a small bite with anything that we tried. I will definitely be going back to try more of the menu and encouraging anyone I know that hasn't been there to go give it a try :)
Love this place, especially dining on the patio and watching the hummingbirds dart around and bird and people watching on the lake! The food does not disappoint! I recommend the crab cakes, pretzels and beer cheese, gnome salad, hot chicken sandwich, fried tenderloin sandwich, walleye dinner, Beef Manhatten....
It seems that many state parks have really good restaurants that show off their natural beauty. This one is equally good, from the beautiful lake to the great food.
