I absolutely love this place!! Best prime rib ever the atmosphere is amazing the service is amazing. We had a business dinner with BMW from Germany and also my colleagues from China . They were very impressed with Schuler’s and our business meeting was successful!! Thank you Schuler’s for you hospitality. ❤️
Celebrated my mother’s birthday at Schuler’s Restaurant and Pub in Marshall, Michigan, and it was a fantastic experience! The service was consistently excellent, and the diverse menu catered to everyone’s tastes. I opted for the pot roast, a savory delight, while my mother enjoyed a delicious chicken dish. Ashley and Sheryl were equally pleased with their chicken and the Winston Burger. The Appetizer Sampler Platter was a delightful start, featuring BBQ meatballs, Gulf shrimp cocktail, crispy Brussels sprouts, and Heritage Cheese & house-made crackers. A truly delightful dining experience in a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend for special occasions or any time you crave superb food and impeccable service!
This place was awesome experience! Stop on the way back home from Indianapolis for dinner. We had the cheddar spread with homemade crackers for an appetizer. The kids got chicken strips and french fries. My wife ordered the chicken quesadilla and house salad. I got the classic Schuler's prime rib with a salad, potatoes and green beans! 😋 😋😋. Dawson was are waiter and did an amazing job. The meal came out a little slow so we were given free dessert. We didn't mind the wait because we had been in the car a while and the food was 🔥🔥. Highly recommend 💚 💯💯
A friend told me about this historical restaurant. I visited it while attending a 2 day training conference in Marshall. MI.
Gergio was our waiter. He was friendly and attentive to us. The food was delicious and seasoned well.
The atmosphere was welcoming. I enjoyed reading the Old English style scripts on the walls.
The 🥜 homemade peanut butter cookies were mouth-watering!
We enjoy the ambiance that included Wall Paintings of Old historical bldgs on the interior.
A beautiful restaurant. The food was impeccable, and the atmosphere was calm, quiet, and inviting. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Briaket & mac-n-cheese....wonderful! I had the cheesecake for dessert, ehh, I can make better. And my friend ordered the Turkey pot pie and that was delicious! I highly recommend this for you next date night out!
We were seated right away on a Saturday night at 6:45! So glad we didn’t skip it- now we just want to go back. We had pot roast and prime rib- huge platefuls of excellent food. Swiss onion soup is a must. So are their cookies and bread for takeaway out in the lobby!
…Only missing a star because our poor server seemed annoyed and pressuring- deadpan demeanor and maybe at most 20 years old (and has so much to learn about serving wine). He was fairly knowledgeable about our menu questions, and of course we had some because we were first time guests. But he was not selling that crab/pepper appetizer- made it sound like it wasn’t worth it.
This is not a place where any guest should feel rushed, it’s too grand an experience if you appreciate a bit of history and indulgence. And at the end of the night we had eaten too much and spent $200… so we hope our pal recognizes the value of letting people relax and it will come back to him in $!
(Plus we saw one last table being sat 3 minutes to closing- truly obnoxious. If we were them, we would expect a hint to hurry up.)
We were there for my husband's employer Christmas party. From drinks to appetizers, a wonderful spread for dinner bumffet, to dessert all the food was wonderful! The service was accommodating, prompt, and friendly. The room itself was festive, and tables nicely spaced. It was a truly enjoyable evening, and I'd highly recommend Schuler's for similar events.
Today, I just simply had a sweet tooth and since strawberries are in season, why not try out their Strawberry Delight!? I’m pleased to report that the experience lives up to the name. Fresh Strawberries and Whipped Topping on an Almond and Graham crust!!! Folks… No Cap. This was Amazing from the first bite to the last! #bigfacts #pricey.
Charming to say the least with a nice old traditional feeling for dinning with friends not seen in years.
A variety of appetizers; a bit over priced for meatballs, cheese and crackers, two quite small crab cakes, well overpriced shrimp cocktail, some basic chicken wings, and a bowl of soup. The crab cakes had a good taste but size for price (about 2" in diameter each) was inadequate and they were quite soggy with little crisp on the exterior.
The main dishes were par for the menu. The half duck looked like glazed chicken thighs, was very dry, and over cooked. For nearly $50, I was anticipating a true half duck (breast and thigh) but it is what it is... prime rib was fatty, the fillet medallions featured in the "steak and lobster" might be 3oz and very small.
Desserts were nice; however, the creme brulee is cooked in a deep ramekin causing the custard to have a strange texture. There was also a syrupy strawberry drizzle on top. Again for the price and "stature" of the establishment I was anticipating fresh fruit as a garnish.
The wait staff was very busy as the dinning room was full, but they were amazing! A fun little mishap with some Bailey's but worse things could have happened and again the staff was amazing!
We had seven of us... 6 appetizers, 7 main dishes (chicken strips, 2 fillet & lobsters, 2 half ducks, & 1 prime), 3 desserts, 9 drinks plus a generous tip at just over $700.
Absolutely delicious. French onion soup & the grill chicken sandwich were fabulous. Seated near the fireplace was very cozy. The service was outstanding.
