Ponderosa Steakhouse

My family enjoys dining here. The restaurant is clean, buffet is kept full and has a lot of good options, food tastes good, our servers are always nice and give good service. The only reason I’m rating 4 stars instead of 5, is because almost every time I’ve ordered a steak, it has been overcooked. Management has always been quick to try and fix the issue, but it is disappointing.

The food and service was good. I didn't get a refill on my drink but my husband did get a refill on his. I was pretty concerned when a family of 3 did not wear any masks at the buffet and we were sitting close by. I thought they should have been required to wear a mask inside and around the food and other customers.

My husband and I ate here on our Anniversary( Sept 17 2020 ). The restaurant was was VERY CLEAN...ALL the staff we encountered was VERY friendly nice and professional. Brad our server went above and beyond taking care of our needs...he was on top of everything. I ordered double Sirloun tips well done and they were AMAZING...VERY GOOD and TENDER!! ALL of our food was EXCELLENT!! EXCELLENT service!!

I Brought my great niece, nephew's and my dad to the Madison restaurant and bought the salad bar for all of us. The selection of the food on the bar was awesome. The food was fresh and hot. The service was fantastic. Even with the covid 19 going on, and social distancing the service was great. It really made you feel like you were special where are they fixture plate for you and I seen them take the food to the table for elderly people which I thought was fantastic. The servers were so polite you never had to ask for anything they was always right on top of it before your glass was empty. This was my great niece and nephews first experience with Ponderosa, they wanted to come back the next day for another meal. Way to go Ponderosa!!

Food & the service was great. The staff were polite, courteous & our waitress checked up on us probably 2-3 times and was very friendly. Prices were very fairly priced for a steakhouse. They also have a buffet if you choose not to order off the menu. We ordered off the menu, but next time we will get the buffet as the food from there looks really good. The buffet has various foods from cooked cabbage to whatever you can think of. Even desserts. Your kids will love it & so will too. VERY PLEASED & WILL RETURN AGAIN 💯😁

Giving 3 stars because the salad bar was the only decent thing here. The 2 for 22 deal we got was horrible! The steaks taste like ground beef that's been sitting out for days... the baked potatoes were under cooked. Thank goodness for the salad bar though. Service was good, staff was friendly when we went.

Reduced my previous rating of 3 to 1. Last Friday night seafood buffet dinner was the worst I have ever experienced here. Three people cost $50.00 (with tip). Most food was either overly or under cooked. Bland flavor. Not much choice on buffet and was not replenished often. My son barely even ate. Just simply wasn't worth the price. The only positive was our waitress was very attentive.
