Came here for dinner on Halloween night. It was pretty empty so we had the pleasure of having the band just to ourselves which was wonderful. It came close to being a private dinner with live music. The drinks were excellent and food was decent and would highly recommend the coconut shrimp. The music was fantastic and the service was great. The portion sizes are big so keep in mind when ordering. Overall a good experience and will come back again

Being from a large city it is really exciting to go to a small town and find a hidden gem. This is a cool place with an upper restaurant and a lower lounge. The food and appetizers were good. The craft cocktails were exceptional. The mixologist knew their stuff. The service was just right! When in Madison check this place out. Oh and park out back so you get the red door experience!

Excellent time here with our business group- great food, wonderful music, intimate club atmosphere. Regulars mentioned how substantially better the food has gotten so the previous reviews of just OK food does not reflect the current foodie reality. Fun time with great cocktail and wine selections and calamari, Korean beef, noodle dish, and scallops are all delicious.

Dinner with a show. The musician was a lot of fun but the food was just so so. I really liked the fried rice and dumplings but the other entrees lacked flavor. Definitely check out the speakeasy downstairs for some delicious cocktails

I took my three friends to Shanghai to try the food and bask in the delight of jazz. i will say that the food was delicious! From the appetizers consisting of pork belly buns, potstickers, and others-I was pleased (just wish the appetizers were warmer when we got them). The entrees were amazing. We had the sesame chicken, Korean beef, Triple gem, and the Shanghai noodles. We were all happy with our choices and the service was amazing. The music was delightful Looking forward to going back and taking my family.

I’ve always heard of this place for years and finally got to check it out. Wow. Food is amazing. We were sad because we didn’t want to finish it knowing it would be over lol. Cocktails are fantastic. And live jazz by actual headlining artists. Really was such a treat that’s worth every penny. If I had to nitpick I wish the decor had a little more personality. Feels like a restaurant in a dentists office. But the hype is real! Go check it out.

I can't rave about this place enough. I decided to try it for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. The band was amazing and they played a Stevie wonder set. They also called up people who were celebrating and sang them happy birthday. The food was great, I tried the wings and the Shanghai noodles with chicken and my friend had the Thai red curry with shrimp. Everything was delicious. For drinks I had the Billie Holiday which was really good and my friend had non-alcoholic lemonade which she said was great. We also went downstairs and tried out the lounge. It's really nice with a different vibe, drinks, and bar menu. I tried a pink drink with vodka but i forgot the name. However, we didn't stay long because when the band starts their next set it drowns out the music downstairs (maybe that's intention so you can still listen?). I am definitely going to go back every chance I get.

I came out for a late birthday celebration with a friend. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted and the owner showed me where I could sit. We sat close to the band. They had a great live jazz band playing. Maliah was our server and she was great. I started with a lemon drop martini which I spilled a little and they completely replaced it. I was so appreciative. For my meal, I got Singapore noodles. My friend got the sesame chicken. The meal looked great and wasn't bad. My friend enjoyed his meal as well. After dinner, we walked downstairs to the speakeasy. That area of the restaurant was super live. They had an early happy hour band and music after. We sat at the bar and had a good time. All in all, I had a really good time.

Great show it never disappoints. Really friendly and efficient service. Food could be warmer but it's good overall. 👍 speakeasy bar at the basement is really amazing 😎
