China Dragon

The first time I went about 6 months ago it was decent and my review would've been 4 stars. I've been 4 times since and every time it's been a trash. The people who say this is good food have low standards. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the egg rolls have been consistently decent and that's worth a star for me. Oh yeah the last time i went it gave me the squirts.

Sunday afternoon after shopping the wife and I were trying to decide what to have for dinner. We didn't want pizza, chicken, sandwiches, eat. We wanted something different so we went to China Dragon III located at 7190 Wall Triana Hwy, Madison, AL. We've eaten in the restaurant before as well as ordered by phone and picked up the food ourselves. On this occasion we decided to go to the restaurant, order and take the food home to enjoy. The restaurant is located between two businesses at the Texaco gas station. There are only a few tables but most customers order and pick-up so there really doesn't need to be a lot of seating. There also isn't a lot of flair and fancy wall decorations like most restaurants but that has absolutely nothing to do with the quality or flavors of there meals they prepare. We ordered the C12, Shrimp with Lobster sauce for our son. It came with white rice and one pork egg roll. For my wife and I, we ordered the Fried Dumplings (8 each), Crab Rangoon (10 each), and C21, the Sweet and Sour Chicken which also included fried rice and a pork egg roll. Our orders also included a mild but tasty dipping sauce for Fried Dumplings and Sweet and Source sauce for the Crab Rangoon and Sweet & Sour Chicken. We also got three Fortune Cookies. There are baskets of soy mustard and duck sauce packets available near the soda machine. Our food was packaged in to go containers which are adequate for take home travel as we have never had a spill or leak from them. Our food was hot and fresh when we arrived home several minutes later. The Fried dumplings were a nice change from the delicious streamed dumplings we've had previously. The fried rice was hot and freshly made and complimented the sweet & sour chicken well. The sweet and sour chicken hot and crunchy and crisp. The Crab Rangoon was hot and crispy and very tasty. These are the best Crab Rangoon we have found in Huntsville. Overall every part of our meal was fantastic. All of the food was well prepared and hot. The servings are substantial. My wife and I shared the Fried Dumplings, Crab Rangoon and Sweet & Sour and still had some chicken and rice left over to enjoy for lunch tomorrow. When we have called in our orders it has been difficult to understand the person on the phone taking the order. But each time we've called in our order is has been correctly prepared to what we ordered.

I wish that I could have been writing this review about their food, unfortunately I was never able to try it. The place looks like a hole in the wall, the door is locked, with a sign saying to call to place a to go order. I know that someone was in there because 2 people came to pick up their orders from the makeshift 4 year old’s carpentry work of a mailbox system someone hastily built in the wall. I called twice with no answer. It just rang until a Verizon message came up after about 20-25 rings. The food might be good, but the service was non existent. I don’t see how this place has 4 stars:/

My wife and I enjoy this place a lot, it's pretty much our go-to chinese restaurant. The food always tastes good and the plates are massive and cheap(When we want the same thing, we just get one combo for like $7 and easily split it.) CALL AHEAD and that will save you lots of time. I can't recommend that enough.

Their dining room is closed but they've built a clever way to minimize contact! You drop your payment through a slot and the food, along with your card/change are put in the wooden box. Then they slide a panel on their side and pull the rope which lifts the lid on box. Standard Chinese food. Not the best but tasty enough and cheap.
