Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Subpar experience. It seemed that they were our of half of the ingredients. They did not have turkey, which is a common ingredient on many subs. It was clear they were short staffed, but our group arrived at the beginning of the lunch rush and it just seemed to take forever. Sandwiches were piling up and getting cold, because one worker was starting the sandwiches as fast as he could while the other tried to handle payments, there was no one in the middle to actually finish the sandwiches so they just sat there. It seems like it could be a good shop, but needs better management and staffing levels.

The sandwiches (tuna and wreck) we're both really good. It's a bit expensive for a sandwich place. Having spent five years in Louisiana it was nice seeing Zapp's potato chips somewhere. The soda fountain had no white sodas (Sprite, Sierra Mist, etc) and they had no unsweet tea option. I would go back, the staff was super friendly for our first visit.

My husband and i wanted to try something different as decided to eat here. To say the least it will be the last time we go there. The food was good fresh juicy meats but it took 20min to make our sandwiches and the sitting area was not clean . overflowing garbage tables were not washed off just not a good experience.defiantly need more than just 3 people working since they offer carry out.

I've been in Madison for years and this location routinely delivers quality service and food. Even when they're slammed, sandwiches come out nicely. They don't skimp, and they are efficient. On some of my crappiest work days, I've stopped here for lunch, and they've made it a bit better. This is my favorite location in Madison. Thank you!

The guys working in the make line were friendly and super helpful, inviting atmosphere. The quality of the ingredients and the passive aggressive girl who rang up the order on the other hand was enough to spoil the meal. Brown avocado, wilted spinach, ice cold/watery hummus on a semi warm bun. Overall a terrible dining experience for an already low expectation of service. Maybe next time you insult your customers or exchange dirty looks with myself and fellow employees you should wait till you're in back and not in front of the person your serving. Aside from her sour personality her gut hanging out from under her shirt was enough to ruin my appetite. I'd consider my one star review well over generous
