Delicious! These gyros are so good. The bread is just right... chewy, warm and tender. The perfectly seaoned gyro meat is accented so nicely with the rings of onions and tomato slices... and the tzaziki sauce on top..... perfect!
I normally order the chicken-bob and that is amazing too.
Really love sitting upstairs on the terrace when the weather is nice. So relaxing. Pretty view of the Capitol too.
This place is EVERYTHING! Great afternoon state street lunch, or good bar time drunk food. Ive only ever had the veggie gyro, spanakopita, veggie pizza, fries and baklava, but Ive NEVER been disappointed. The price is right, and the quality is always spot on whether its 2pm or 2am.
I've had gyros from other places in Madison, but I keep coming back to the Parthenon. I don't think I'll stray again. When I want good souvlaki or gyros and I'm in Madison, here is where I'll go.
The first gyro I ever tried, and it totally spoiled me. Haven't been able to find a gyro like it since. Gyro, fries, and a lemonade is still my all time favorite Madison meal.

BEST Gyro I Ever Had. I live out of state, and every time I am in the Madison, WI area I ALWAYS go here for a gyro. I have been eating at Parthenon since the early 2000's. Let me tell you, it's love at first bite, not to mention the outstanding service. You're probably thinking that Greek food so far North cannot be any good, but the gyros and fries and pitza are stellar; everything from the tender and savory lamb cooked daily on the spit to the soft yet flavorful pita bread. THOSE GYROS are to die for! Also the other food I have not tried, but based on taste tests from previous visits, THEY'RE ALL AMAZING! Furthermore, the service is outstanding. The cooks crank out orders at break neck speeds and they never ever disappoint with hospitality and helpfulness. Their service is something I would wish that every single restaurant in the world has. Moreover, (I don't have to tell you this just go and see) the line wraps are around the block on occasions. It's not uncommon that people will wait for about 45 minutes to an hour in the line to get a Parthenon gyro. That's just how marvelous the food and spectacular the service is at the Parthenon. BOTTOM LINE: If you live in South Wisconsin or are in the area, GET TO THE PARTHENON!
Don't order a Gyro anywhere else. There is no better than The Parthenon.
Amazing!. I only recently ate at Parthenon for the first time, after walking past it countless times on State Street. I've eaten there three times in the past week to make up for lost time! The chicken caesar pita is amazing, as are the fries. The hot peppers are a great addition too! I also love the Pitzas -- they're small yet really satisfying. The service here is fast and friendly, and the rooftop patio is now one of my favorite spots in Madison. I regret not eating here more during my four years of college. I recommend eating here as soon as possible!

My gyro hero. What can I say? This place is just great. During the summer time they open up the patio on the roof and its right in the heart of State St. The gyro meat is seasoned just right and the sauce is the boss. I have to confess that this is my favorite place for a gyro!
Gyro-frie-pepsi. I first ate here in 1994 and everything is pretty much exactly the same as it was back then. This place is head and shoulders above all the other gyro places in town, for sure. Genorous portions make up for the slightly inflated prices compared to the other gyro joints.
Food was great. When we come from out of town it iss oue got to I will not get them from anywhere else! Fresh always and the service was great and quick. The atmosphere is nice has alot of seating inside and outside. Also they do not except EFT, CARDS NO CASH
So many restaurants have changed on State street. I'm glad to see this place is still around. Great gyros, good serving size, tasty food.
Was in the mood for gyros so found this place along the Avenue. Ordered through the website which was pretty straightforward. I went with the mega gyro which has 50% more meat than the OG as stated on the online menu.
I scarf it all down within 5 mins and afterwards was feening for another one. I enjoyed it very much but it’s kind of on the pricey side at around $12. I usually buy gyros at other places at around $7-$8. I would definitely return to PG when I’m in Madison.
The best place for Gyros in Madison. Fast and friendly service, fresh ingredients with a spacious dining area that includes an upstairs area with outdoor seating. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed if you are looking for Greek cuisine.
loved this place for a semi-quick dinner!! gyros were delicious and big enough - definitely try the fries if you’re looking for a crispy side!

This is a place I could honestly eat from every day. They have a very simple menu but everything on it is outstanding and always delicious. The house-made gyro meat is amazing, and there are also vegetarian/vegan options that taste just as good.
Service:
The workers are super friendly and helpful and wait time is usually incredibly fast (despite the restaurant *not* being a "fast food" place). There have been times where people have had their orders completed before they even finish paying!
Management:
This restaurant is locally-owned and Greek-owned and the co-owners Erin and Dmitri are both wonderful people! :D
My favorite place for gyros! And yum French fries as well. The place was clean with a wonderful smell & friendly service.
The service was great! The guys behind the counter were hyped and if you give them a tip they ring a bell and just make you feel so good! FOOD was amazing 💜 Eating on the rooftop was awesome!!!!
