Joey Chui's Greenspring Inn

Food is good, the bar area is small and seems like it's always full so if you want a bar experience I would say arrive as soon as the doors open. The sushi is awesome and the entree portions are plentiful. Bartenders are always engaging. I love this place, its a place that has a lot of "regulars", it's a good time.

I highly recommend and we will be back. Enjoyed an evening with cousins. Had a delicious glass of Sauvignon Blanc and entree - shrimp lo mein. Shrimp were jumbo and the dish was very flavorful. I only needed a dash of soy sauce. The rating could have easily been 5 stars if my cousin’s burger was cooked well as requested and if it didn’t take a noticeably long time to get our food.

Summary: not the place to go if you want robust Chinese flavors. Perfect if you want 70s suburban Chinese. We really wanted to like Joey Chiu's. The owners of our long-time favorite Chinese restaurant retired, and we haven't found anyone we like since then. Bottom line: this isn't it-at least not for us. All the dishes are fresh, made with good ingredients and in generous portions. The problem? No taste. I expect Chinese food to have a certain depth of flavor that was nowhere to be seen here. Even the "spicy" dish my husband ordered was bland. One more note: the service was crazy. Not bad, but nuts. The servers were almost running through the restaurant. I've never seen anything like it. If you essentially want American Chinese, this might be your place. But if your palate has evolved since 1975, you might want to go elsewhere!

I went in at about 3pm for my first visit and wanted to try it. they weren't busy at all so I ordered to-go food off the lunch menu. The food was good but I was very disappointed with the portion for $15! Not to mention the lady behind the counter was very dismissive. I'm sure that's her demeanor every day. It wasn't just a bad day for her. If you like to pay a lot of money for a tasty small portion, you found your home.

Had a few gift cards here…. Actually the worst food we have ever tasted. We ordered 5 apps and 5 entrees.Everyone in our party said the same exact thing. Food was bland, no taste at all. Shrimp toast looks like jelly inside and is completely foul. 3/5 people went home and sat on the toilet for a half hour. Went here two weeks ago and still until this day I want to puke thinking of this food. So disgusting. Do not eat here.
