Small place, had cool latin music videos to watch while you wait for your food. I ordered ropa vieja and the cuban sandwich. Both were good, but 4 stars because the ingredients didnt taste fresh ( tasted like canned veggies in the ropa vieja). I should have ordered the paella instead (thats was the special of the day) but i noticed it too late. Good place though.
I love this place. The owner is one of the coolest person you will ever meet. He is down to earth just like his food. I have never looked at a menu. I always say fix me something good. He has not let me down yet. We are in a bit of a scare and it is hurting our restraunts and small business's. Let's try to help them out by going here first so they will be there later when you want more of there yummy food. Handicapp accessable. Very friendly conversation as well. Enjoy people and remember 6' fro. Strangers. Be safe
We were first on Sunday so we had to wait a few minutes longer, but the wait was worth it. Excellent food, good portions and friendly service.
We will be coming back with friends.
Tasty food but unfortunately portions are too small. $30 for 2 lunch boxes of skirt steak with congri rice and for me both looks like appetizers boxes. Anyway flavor was wonderful but not every day you can afford that amount of money in lunch especially if the portions are not enough to satisfy your cravings. Also finding parking was a challenge. If can they offer accessible parking and give more food for the price, I’ll definitely give them a 5 starts without any doubt.
Don’t get me wrong, i use to support all Latino Restaurants in the States because is prt of my culture. My previous post is in comparison with other restaurant offerings the same kind of food. I paid extra for Congri Rice and also left Tip expecting to receive nice big portion of food like other places. For my wife was enough, for me because i use to eat more wasn’t. However if i have the opportunity to visit you guys i will. ÉXITO!!!!
I've ordered delivery from Sabor Latino about 5 times, and ordered inside a few times less than that. The food is always delicious, and the service is always great. The owner, Steve, is an absolute delight that cares about his customers. Their Cuban sandwiches are as authentic as you can get and one of my favorite things to eat in all of Old Louisville. If you're in the area, it's always worth trying.
First time visiting (call in order for lunch) Saber Latino. Never heard of it until a coworker suggested we try it. Let's just say....local restaurants in Louisville, KY are top notch, and Sabor Latino did NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! Food was hot, fresh and delicious 😋 Your staff was friendly and accommodating with our three different call in orders. Thank you. We will be back.
Nice quiet corner shop with a comfy feel to it. Any place that offers a Cuban, I have to try and I definitely was not disappointed! They make a dynamite Cuban sandwich.. authentic and flavorful and meaty enough to easily justify the price. The only downside is there small selection of sides... The black beans and rice is decent... Just a bit bland for my tastes. The spicy potatoes are probably the best option to accompany the sandwich.. wash it down with a Mexican coke and it's all good after that.
Wonderfully refreshing food. So used to all of the chain Mexican restaurants to finally walk into a independent authentic Cuban restaurant was great. And to top it off, it was in Old Louisville another added Plus. The food was prepared fresh when ordered so it did take a little bit longer to get your food. But the taste was great. Would recommend this to anybody else.
I had the Cuban Sandwich & Bread Pudding. They both were really good. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be going back. Service was A1 . Seems like a family business. Played nice music videos. Very Cuban-like Feng shui. I loved it.
Absolutely outstanding lunch experience. My son and I went on a rare, beautiful August day. I had the Cuban, he had the Pollo Caribeno, we split a side of corn. We LOVED our sandwiches and are planning a trip back soon to try more of the menu. We were able to done outside and it was a great Old Louisville experience! Service was very, very friendly. We will be back very soon!
