What a great place. Really amazing burger. Highly recommend the soups/chili as well! Staff is always friendly.
Besides the congenial service and served, this place has the most consistently excellent chicken salad, chili, and the best cheese burger in Louisville... must have chips to absorb the juices. Has been for years.
Excellent patty melts and burgers, good food in general. Great neighborhood bar with friendly bartenders and regulars. Always a fun crowd for games or races.

Love the "local, hometown experience"! They pat out your burger in front of you, like home! The burgers are great! Simple bar food, but everyone was eating! Take extra time to find a place to park!
I hadn't been to Kerns in years, but after an less-than-mouth watering experience at the Bambi Bar, I decided to give it a try.
Why did I wait so frickin' long? The cheeseburger blows the Bambi Burger off of Bardstown Road; the service was friendly and quick; everything was clean; and the people were just downright nice.
It was so good that I went back again a few days later and had the chicken noodle soup AND the chili. Both were excellent choices.
And while everyone else is jacking up prices to cover their added costs brought on by inflation, KK's prices were extremely fair given the quality of the food.
If you're looking for a new neighborhood bar, this place deserves your attention.
They serve ‘burgers and fries’ but the food is very simple and it’s priced accordingly. Older professional folks from the area mainly hang out at the locale, so it’s like ‘Club Bonnycastle’ for people who can’t get into Club Bonnycastle. No problem there.
If I owned the bar I’d make some changes to keep the pub relevant.

Have been going to the tattoo shop next door for years, and have always heard great things about this place. I finally went in to get a cheeseburger... and it was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. Juicy and flavorful, and I didn't even need a condiment on it. Can't wait to come back. Staff was very friendly.
Went there tonight and had a great experience. Great crowd and the burgers are fantastic. The bar was packed for the Louisville game and there was only one bartender. You wouldn’t have known. The dude was flipping burgers, pouring drinks, and cashing people out without missing a beat. I will definitely be going back if it’s this good every night.
