This place has best BBQ - I go there as often as I can! My favorite item is the Beef Brisket - it is AWESOME! The sides are good, but there sauces are the best around.
Their smoked wings are incredible! You can clearly tell that they are smoked in house, and the BBQ sauce is delicious! I highly recommend this place if you have a BBQ/wing craving.
I eat here at least once a week, love the place, the people and the food. Love supporting a local owned and operated joint. Best most consistent brisket in town, plus I can get it for lunch in which a lot of places don't have it till dinner. Big Fatty Brisket sandwich, fries pickles and onions. Best spicy pickles going too!
Standard BBQ...they don't reinvent the wheel there. The BBQ is good and well priced. I like their sides the best. Not sure who owns the place but they for sure play up the fighter fighter angle. I have a soft spot for family run places. Worth your time to check out their BBQ.
Hands down the best BBQ in Louisville. Brisket is tender and delish and fresh daily. Smoked Wings on Wednesday are killer. Get you some Wednesday for lunch before they run out. Most complete and consistent BBQ menu in the city. Must try!

Baked Beans Rule. Best baked beans I've ever had...also the cole slaw. The Chicago Fire sauce is my favorite-sweet and quite hot,wonderful complement to the pork barbecue sandwich. Burnt ends coming soon!

Locally owned fire department themed BBQ joint. Good food and laid back atmosphere. Nothing fancy and family friendly. They also have a drive thru.
The beef brisket sandwich was very good. Good flavor and not a lot of fat as some brisket tends to be. Side portions were generous. They offer three sauce options including a very spicy. All three were quite good.
Service was very friendly food tasted amazing. Potato salad and beans were really good. Pulled pork tasted really good but wasn't very hot same as the beans. Bread for sandwich lacked in taste and texture. If the make the food hotter and improved the bread it would be much better. Plus, I have to walk through the drive through to reach dining room.
What a great find. I had a pulled pork slider with Pickles, onions, and jalapeño. It was so flavorful. I love their Bourbon bbq sauce. I forgot to take a picture before I finished scarfing this down.
BBQ and sauces are excellent, cooked perfectly with great flavor and exactly the same every time I go. Highly recommend!
Exceptionally great barbecue. Wow, we eat at several bbq in city and this one is top 2. Great flavors. Had good seats inside clean, and enough room at tables. It’s quite. Great atmosphere. Will be back often
We have eaten at a lot of good bbq restaurants, but I have to say FDKY is probably one of the best I’ve had. Ribs, pulled chicken, pulled pork and brisket all delicious. I don’t usually like restaurant baked beans, but took a chance and they were so good! Also had fries, Mac n cheese both good and those little rolls they add to the meal are delicious. If we lived closer would eat here weekly!
Food here is excellent and the pricing is great. I love how they have a drive thru and its always pretty quick.
Was invited by some friends to try this place out. As soon as they said it was ran by FD I knew it was going to be good. I was raised in the FD with my father so I know these men/women can cook! This place did NOT disappoint. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, the fries had a awesome seasoning. Onion rings were very good and the baked beans too! I LOVED the sweet BBQ sauce. Staff was very friendly, place was very clean. I highly recommend this place if you like bbq!!! I will for sure be back...very soon.
Barbecue and sides were very tasty. I had a pulled pork sandwich and two sides. Macaroni and cheese which was awesome and Cole slaw with was very tasty. I thought the portion were a bit small for the price.
