Great pizza. The crust is crispy but not crunchy and yet still soft. I got the butchertown which has all the meat. Excellent choice for meat lovers. My wife got the Iroquois and I almost preferred that to mine. It was so good. The crispy onions on that one were a nice touch.
I am surprised that it was quite busy at 5 pm for early dinner. But the whole thing was not too bad. I was dining alone so it is hard to get the bar available since there is couples at the bar. So i kind of feel bad because I was one person at 4 people table. But I wasn't there too long for my pizza and beer. The pizza was good. Next time, I will order takeout instead of stay there.
Enjoyed a great little birthday dinner at Kohl’s this week! The atmosphere was cozy and fun. The service was quick and efficient. The food was absolutely amazing! We all ordered individual pizzas and then traded “slice for slice” and every flavor was excellent. I certainly enjoyed my Brownsboro margarita, pizza!
The food was amazing it was a big party of 11 people and we all ordered they're 12-in individual pizza. They all looked amazing. Each one is named after an area in the city. I ordered the Bardstown road minus the caramelized onions added bacon The food quality was outstanding prices were comparable.
Coals Artisan Pizza has been the “go to” pizza restaurant and take out place for years. It made it through COVID with a robust take out business and outdoor dining scene in St Matthews. It’s not regular take out pizza price wise but the quality and taste is worth the extra expense. Just had a birthday party with Coals Pizza and it was a big hit!
I like the brownsboro it's just good with me, fire burnt crust with a lot of juicy pizza sauce perfect crust & just a great pizza.
The pizza is light & filling. The ambiance has date night vibes. The mushroom appetizer is sooooo good! A definite must try! I don't eat wings so I can't speak from personal experience about them but the rest of my table (four men) all enjoyed them! You won't regret going here.

We just got home from this establishment and I've immediately gone to my computer to write this. As a gift we were given a gift card for Coals and are so glad that we received it. The pizza was absolutely delicious........the beer was cold.....the service was excellent.......and the General Manager went out of his way to make sure we were happy with everything. Prices were reasonable, too! This places deserves the 5 star rating.........and then some. We'll be back!
I’d give it a 4.5 if I could. Great place to grab an Italian-style pizza and drinks. The atmosphere is great with high ceilings and lots of light. Plenty of pizzas to choose from, with a build-your-own option as well. They also have cauliflower crust. Good selection of beers and bourbons too. Two locations in Louisville so get to the nearest one.

They are very friendly and considerate service. Some times they can get very busy. The location is convenient if you know where they’re at. Family friendly, friend friendly. This location does have outdoor seating.
They do have specials so ask.
Their Salads are good as well as their appetizers, try the Bourbon Wings they’re different. The roasted tomato soup is pretty good.
My favorite pizzas the Clifton, the highlands .
Ask for the Honey Badger, great pie!
Also the Brownsboro with the chefs favorite twist...killer pie
