King Taco is to tacos like In-n-Out is to burgers, and like In-n-Out, it's a SoCal staple.
You can't go wrong with a few al pastor (marinated pork) tacos, or an all asada (beef) burrito. Then there's that red salsa. Great flavor followed by a better burn. Don't forget a large horchata to wash it all down.
They have seating inside (with AC) or outside. Staff moves quickly, but are friendly. The place is clean. Parking can be a pain, but manageable.
Always a good spot for tacos.
We stopped by after a concert and place was busy! But line moved quickly and food was ready in 10 mins.
Tight parking and long lines but it's worth it. The lines moves fairly quickly. Sopes are good, the crispy/crunchy shell sets it apart. Tacos are good, smaller but mighty. When it comes to tacos less is more.
2 asada burritos and a large piña drink $20 + . Super delicious. One of the best burritos that I really enjoy eating. I like how they make them. I have tasted other burritos in other places and they make them too greasy. King Taco makes the burritos just right.
What can be said for King Taco 🌮 its been a staple in ELA, for who knows how many years. At any given time it's always a booming place to eat. When ever I go back home or to visit my parents at Calvary Cemetery it becomes a must stop at King Taco for a quick bite. All their menu items are to die for. But it's their tacos that steal the show. When in LA or specifically in ELA off of third st by Calvary Cemetery, King Taco is a must stop...
I believe the waiting was a little bit too long but for the most of it it wasn't outrageous.
It didn't seem like the workers were on the same page they lacked communication with one another which led to the delay. The food was not terrible but it also wasn't something that I'm dying to tell my it was okay.
Extremely busy at 7:30PM. There were two lines at the spot. We discovered a third take out line at the food truck in the parking lot which cut our wait time significantly. Tacos were so tasty. Definitely worth a visit.
It was my first time going. It was delicious!
Anytime we are in LA county we make an effort to visit King Taco. No matter which location you choose to visit, they will always serve delicious food. I enjoy eating the nachos with carne asada along with red sauce. Give them a try as you won’t be disappointed!
Grew up eating King Taco at this specific location! Always been delicious, the family loves it as well. Always bomb after a night out drinking since they stay open late. However wish they weren’t so stingy with their salsa. Also wish there were more cashiers open when they are busy and lines are long. Wish there was a drive thru also, I’ve never seen any King Taco locations with a drive thru. Other than that King Taco is a classic especially for those of us born & raised in East LA/ Boyle Heights.
