beautiful place, good food and friendly staff and reasonable price! loved it and definitely will go back.
What a charming place! And the food is amazing! Highly recommend it!
Cafe Chez Marie is like a smal paradise in the middle of a busy neighborhood. We enjoyed brunch with my husband at this cosy place. The food was fresh and delicious professionally served. The music played was pleasant. The owner and staff are nice. I wish we discovered this place earlier.
This is a gem of a place! Let me start with the setting: A beautiful old French-style home that has been kept almost intact, with a beautiful interior but an even better exterior in a cute backyard! The staff were more than friendly, professional and accommodating. Finally and most importantly the food was super good. I had the Chez Marie which is a croissant filled with cheese, eggs, bacon. Heaven! Great experience!
Stopped in for brunch today for a friend’s birthday. It was so quaint and delicious. Very eclectic menu in an amazing cottage type atmosphere. I recommend sitting outside if the weather permits. Thank you for the great experience Cafe Chez Marie!
Cafe Chez Marie is a cozy cute French cafe with delicious food. Had the Croque-Madame, a French classic of Black Forest Ham, Gruyere cheese with a fried egg on roasted bread. Also tried the roasted potatoes and the Merquez Burger, a lamb patty with Aioli sauce on brioche.
Fresh, tasty, good portions and a relaxed French cafe vibe. Wonderful!
Fantastic place! I had the Eggs Norwegian (eggs Benedict with smoked salmon) and that was the best poached eggs I’ve ever had! We sat outside in the courtyard and had wonderful coffee and listened to classic music. The service is a little slow, but well worth the experience. We will definitely be back.
Very nice little brunch spot right on Santa Monica Blvd. It’s tucked in a little bit so it’s easy to miss but it’s worth the time. Ample outdoor seating but be sure you make a reservation. The portions are good but the prices are a little high. $16 for eggs Benedict and $5.75 for a cappuccino. Very friendly staff as well!
Five stars isn't enough for is the quiet, adorable, carefully crafted mom & pop French/Moroccan brunch spot. Every plate goes out under Marie's watch and the quality shows. This restaurant is her baby and she knows customers are it's lifeblood.
We ordered the omlette morocaine which was one of the most well-prepared omlettes I think I've had. The eggs were the perfect thickness and softness. The sauteed onions, peppers, and sausage was soft and flavorful. Thoughtfully placed fruits were on the side with two halves of warm toast. Delectable.
My boyfriend got the Menage a Trois salad, which was a crisp bed of greens, sliced radishes, carrots, avocado, sesame seeds topped with egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad. A creamy dressing on the side complimented the plate perfectly. Again, carefully prepared, fresh, simple but delicious.
Everyone, especially Marie, who served us was very nice, attentive and pleasant. Everything was timely and according to order.
This is your perfect small group, cozy, beautiful garden brunch aside a quaint European cottage. It's worth a venture, or what is now for us, a regular spot with close friends.
Waiters with French accent, Parisian bistro chairs outside in garden setting. Fresh..no, really freshly prepared food. Perfectly poached eggs...unordinary breakfast potatoes. Coffee so fresh it's made per request. Also offering Moroccan food like merguez and chicken tagine.
I feel transported to anywhere BUT the city, Cafe Chez Marie has pleasant service, beautiful background noise of classical music, and the ambience is cozy, warm, and quaint. Of course, the food was delicious.
One of the best french restaurant in the area. Very intimate setup, the seating arrangement situated behind the building makes it even more remote, private and authentic.
