The hash-browns was so oily and mushy from the oil they drenched it in and the bacon was 95% fat.. The scrambled eggs was the best thing about the whole meal. The waitress was a bit cold and just gave us the bill while we were eating without an explanation, then returned while we were still eating to ask if we have paid it.. I think she was finishing her shift which is completely understandable if she just said that.
Had a solid dinner at Blacksmith. The food was pretty much spot on and service was good. Our issue was main entrées came before salad that was one of the reasons why only a four out of five stars. Overall would definitely dine here again many dishes were very well executed. Staff was very friendly and helpful overall restaurant had a good vibe.
Some top dishes to try are the short rib gnocchi, braised short ribs, cheese fritters, and bread putting.
3.5 Stars...It is an improvement over the previous restaurant at this location, The Must, but I'm not overly impressed by it. Our order is as follows:
1) Heirloom Tomato Salad - decent salad but nothing compared to the Heirloom tomato salad at Akasha in Culver
2) Grilled Octopus - Best dish of the night but the purple accents had little to not flavor
3) Ravioli - decent enough ravioli, but nothing noteworthy
4) BBQ Ribs - enjoyable ribs, but pretty standard issue. The fries accompanying the ribs were excellent.
Pros: The design of the restaurant is A+ and it has a energetic vibe.
Cons: The food, overall, wasn't noteworthy.
Really loved this place. The food was so good and it wasn't unreasonable in the price either. The service was pretty good, our waitress disappeared a few times and my 2nd course came out before my 1st course which was different. It's a busy place, good music, and drinks. Definitely would come here again but things do take awhile so be patient.
Visited for a team dinner. It is a nice restaurant with some very nice delicacies. The presentation of each and every entree was beautiful. Most of the team members enjoyed their food. Only thing we didn't like was lack of vegetarian items on the menu. Most of the items included either bacon or alchohol, which made them very delicious, but few team members had limited options who didn't like to have bacon or alchohol. Ambience is very artistic and welcoming. Great bar. Loved it.
This place is perfect. From the ambiance, to the food, the drinks and even the parking set up.
There are two structures literally right next to the restaurant. One is an open lot and the other is a structure. Both under 400 feet from the restaurant. If you’re an LA native you know this plays a big role in whether or not you actually go somewhere.
“Never say die” is hands down the best bourbon drink I’ve had. My boyfriend got the Bloody Mary and that was yummy too. Overall their drink menu was impressive.
The table ordered the Brie pancakes, short rib Benedict, chilaquiles, chorizo hash, and french toast. I would order each one of those things again. My favorite was the short rib and chorizo harsh.
The service was great. From the host to the waitress to the bar tender. I would absolutely recommend this olde.
Very very yummy food, cooked very well. Parking isn't a problem as there is a lot next door.
You have to love a room with a tub. One of the biggest things that I love the most is the window opens. You have to pay a resort fee. The bed is pretty comfortable. I could not hook up the fire stick due to no outlets available. We got lucky and found meter parking.
