Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures but that’s legit because from the moment my food landed in front of me I absolutely Massacred it. Easily the best falafel I’ve ever had and when combined with the fresh salad ingredients made for an awesome walk after a long day of traveling over from the east coast. On top of the already awesome food, the prices were stellar.

I come to downtown LA just for this place. El pastor burritos are amazing. Friendly staff. A million times better than Chipotle. Closes too early on certain days. Delivers to nearby area. Very hot inside during summer. Highly recommended.

A Chipotle concept but with way more ingredients. Much more of a variety involving hot sauce and pickles veggies such as jalapenos and pickled cabbage. Solid spot for those who are on a diet but want a Mexican style meal!!!

Such a great find! Cute little spot with bar seating and delicious food! Fresh ingredients, not greasy, and super friendly service. The tortillas are light and thin and yummy.

This is right next to Subway and Mitaki. The inside does not have much room to sit; however, the service is prompt and quick. It really is like an upscale Chipotle! I highly recommend this as a stop to pick up a burrito and take it elsewhere. The portions are quite large and even though it has a large initial price (~9.79 USD including tax for a Carnitas Burrito). Would come back!

I've always considered Mexican food to be the unhealthiest of the lot. Oftentimes, it is served so greasy the wax paper has turned translucent and the styrofoam container is starting to sag. The food fills me up alright, but I cannot in good conscience make it a habit of eating Mexican (ie Benitos, Los Tacos, Titos, etc). Ocho Mexican Grill; however, is different. Ocho is more or less healthy, all-natural (some of it organic) food served in a Mexican vein. I've read plenty of people liken it to a Chipotle knock-off and perhaps there's some merit to that sentiment, but Ocho has way more variety in meats, sauces, salsas, and styles (whole wheat burrito, taco, salad, bowl) from which to choose. Ocho also is as green as the veggies they serve. You eat all-natural food out of a biodegradable bowl with potato starch forks that dissolve in boiling water. I eat here any time I happen to be in DTLA, which is almost once a week. Having just hit 30, I am making a more concerted effort to live that healthy lifestyle. Spots like Ocho make achieving that goal a lot easier when I'm away from my own kitchen. I highly recommend trying this place, particularly tiger prawns with hica mango and the agave vinaigrette.
