I was hoping this place would still be open after the last few years. It’s been a minute since the last time I ate here. The server was so sweet and helpful explaining what a few items were. Oh, and the Host was extremely welcoming, as well as the gentleman who played musical chairs with us about our seating preference 😆 The Japanese whiskey drink (can’t remember what it was called) was pretty satisfying and their Happy hour (3-6:00) made our last minute dining experience even better! The fish was VERY FRESH, I have to say.. everything was 👍🏻 🏆
Food is top quality and warms your heart. Amazing place to visit and gather around with family and friends.
Kabuki was delicious. Portions were really robust. Everything tasted fresh, and service was attentive. Most unique yellowtail sashimi we had - carpaccio inspired! Very corporate atmosphere but had ample seating despite being busy.
Chain restaurant in the Howard Hughs mall. Bright. Cheery. Out server Bryan was attentive. Decent size menu with good choices. Not someplace I would bring a friend visiting from Japan. But rainbow roll, ikura and salmon was good. Miso soup on salty side.
Surprisingly better than I expected, haha. Either that or I had very low expectations. Their rolls aren’t bad. I had the Kabuki roll and Spider Roll. We also got a spicy miso ramen (note: this ramen doesn’t come with any meat, might be vegetarian?) but it’s still very flavorful and fulfilling!
Fast and courteous service. Pork cutlet was perfect! Perfect crispy light fry on the pork and the pork remained tender cooked to perfection.
Coming back here gave me flashbacks as to why I came here regularly when living in the Howard Hughes area. They have amazing Japanese food, friendly service, cozy spaces and just great overall dining experience.
When I used to come here, I would always get their ika geso kaarage, but I believe they have been discontinued (bummer 🥲)? Anyhow, I didn't order the Chilean Sea Bass and they are amazing, so give that a try! Well, let's move on to the ones I actually ordered: Curry ramen, chicken fried rice and calamari rings.
Curry ramen was delicious, I just wish their noodle can be less soft, so I don't feel like eating soggy noodles. As for their fried rice, they just live up to Japanese fried rice standards (Japanese seem to always make the best fried rice). 👌 Calamari rings? Well, let's just say I prefer their squid legs. As for their fried California rolls, I love every single bite of it. Out of all these that I mentioned, the only one I think you should skip is the calamari rings.
Overall, I enjoy the ambience and experience in this restaurant so I would recommend to sushi lovers to try out this restaurant 🍙
Went here before catching a movie at the cinemark, was pleasantly surprised by the happy hour deals! Half expected the rolls to be a smaller portion but they were full sized rolls and everything was fresh and tasty! Didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday evening and perfect timing to catch our movie, took a little less than an hour from sitting to leaving.
Everything was delicious ! Mu whole family enjoyed the food
We had such a lovely lunch with the greatest service from Brian. The kids enjoyed the chicken ramen and California rolls.
