A true test of food quality and service is to go to a restaurant on a holiday or special day. My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine's Day dinner. Our server was very attentive. He was very knowledgeable about gluten free items on the menu as well as making sure we had everything to help us fully enjoy our meal. Lamb chops and ribeye steak were served medium, as ordered. The sides were delicious. We truly enjoyed our evening. By the way the lounge/bar area also serves dinner. We will return.
Not only is Ruth’s Chris a great place to enjoy amazing food and fabulous service, it is also a place that has a warm and friendly atmosphere. They also give back to their community in many ways. Thank you Ruth’s Chris for always providing the very best!
Came to Ruth's Chris a few years ago when I was in LA. The husband and I were in the area and he decided to take me to Ruth's Chris for dinner. Ambience and service were great, but the food was even better!
We both ordered the ribeye, which was topped with a herb butter medallion, keeping the steak juicy and flavourful, and cooked to a medium rare perfection. It was one of the best steaks that I've had. For a side, we ordered the sweet potato casserole with a pecan crust, which I highly recommend! I've never had anything like it before, and I could have probably ate it as is by itself. It was sweet enough to almost be a dessert. We also ordered the creamed spinach, which was also pretty good.
Ambience and service were both great, and overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. The only downside is the price.
Best Steak in L.A.!!!!. A thick piece of fillet covered in butter!!! What else is there to say?
You cannot go wrong with Ruth's Chris!!!!
The best... This is one of my favorites steak houses the food is exceptionally wonderful, very classy and elegant atmosphere i recommend this place..
Always reliable and now with the bad economy service is better and management more solicitous. Steaks are good. I would avoid the calamari. It is more like sweet and sour shrimp than typical fried calamari. The shoestring fries were more limp than crispy. Chopped salad is good to split
I'm wanting to go to ruth's chris...who wants to come with?
After comparing the “Happy Hour” accommodations of the Woodland Hills Ruth’s Chris to the location in Beverly Hills, we’ve decided to recommend the Woodland Hills location to our readers for a great Happy Hour. Spacious, comfortable booths, tables and high-tops with a much longer-lasting and extensive menu. you won’t be disappointed with this Woodland Hills gathering spot! Called their “Prime Hour”, the Woodland Hills Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse offers everything you can think of in terms of appetizers. We were shocked by the portion sizes, and awed by the incredible service and quality of the hand-shaken cocktails we enjoyed each time we visited. Select wines, premium beers and well drinks are just $5, while hand shaken refreshing martinis are available for $7 each during Prime Hour. Above, we delighted in a Cosmopolitan, a Rum & Coke, a couple of glasses of wine, a basket of complimentary spicy potato chips and a classic Lemon Drop Martini.
My sister took me and my wife here to celebrate my late birthday dinner. I made reservation through OpenTable for today. The plaza where this restrauant is at is basically a ghost town because there only like 3 restrauant left here before they shut down. We arrived early so I checked in with the host and it took about 5ish minutes to be seated. The place is kind of outdated but we found out by our waiter that they will be moving to their new location within 6 days. Our waiter was Lars and he was amazing with us. My sister got her calamari and asked for the sauce to be on the side. My wife got the Sea Bass and asked for mushroom for her side. I went with the Bone In New York Steam and got fries on the side. They told me that the Bone in New York Steak come with a special knife so I get to choose which one I wanted. My sister friend got their Filet Mignon and shrimp. All of our food was delicious and I liked the seasoning on my NY steak. I would highly recommend coming here after they moved to their new location.
My score:
Food: 5 star, you cannot go wrong with any steak here and their seafood options are amazing.
Service: 5 star, the customer service here are amazing as well since it's a luxury restaurant. All of the waiters are nice and will be attentive to your table.
Parking: 5 star, you will not have any issues finding parking here since there only 3 restrauant left and everything else is closed.
Atmosphere: 4 star, the place is outdated which is why they are finally moving to their new location.
It’s my favourite steak house. Wonderful atmosphere with great food. The steak they serve is always great quality!
We came for opening night and it was amazing. You’ve been to Ruth Chris before you know the drill the food was perfect. The service was outstanding. They still have a little work to do on the organizational side but they’ll get it like I said it was the first day they are open, the bar looked amazing. I highly recommend stopping by and saying hello and having a great steak.
Nationally known as top tier steak house, Ruth's Chris did not disappoint. My steak was cooked to perfection as well of the steaks for the other members of our party. The wine selection is superb. Our server really knew her stuff as she recommended how to order our steak's preparation. This particular location will be closed. The new location will be just across from our office building. Can't wait to be able to enjoy this fine restaurant by just walking across the street.
Yes, Ruth's Chris is on the upper side of afforability. But quality is rarely cheap.
Enjoy !!
My husband and I enjoy each time here.
The service is great, The waitress are always checking, making sure you are well attended. The food is delicious, they give you great portions, and cocktails are fantastic.
My favorite cocktail is “Gambling Old Fashioned”! This place gets busy, we come at 4pm and by the time we where leaving it was almost 100% occupied.
There is free open parking lot, and they have a nice dining outside seating.
Ruth Chris was very busy so we had to sit at the bar. We got there about 8:00PM. The bar area was crowded but a nice couple moved over so we can fit in
The food was Absolutely AMAZING. I had the Lamb, and my wife had the Stuffed Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. It was seasoned very well. The food was hot and very Good. We will be coming back to five a review on their service next time. Enjoy Ruth Chris Steal House.
It is always a pleasure to visit Ruth Chris. My wife and I have been going for quite some time and we always have an amazing meal with excellent service. This time we went to check out the new location in Woodland Hills. A much better site in my opinion, especially since the Promenade where the old one was turned into a ghost town. The new digs are really nice, most notably the bar is much bigger and can accommodate larger groups. They also partitioned the space a bit more to cut down on the sound and added private rooms and areas for special events and parties.
The food we had was excellent as always. I had the ribeye with a blue cheese crust and my wife had the petite filet mignon Oscar style (crabmeat and asparagus). Both steaks cooked to perfection. We also had THE best appetizer, Spicy Shrimp. Don't let the name fool you, it's not that spicy, but I suppose that is subjective. Personally I would rate it a mild that anyone would enjoy.
My one complaint is with the noise. When we were first given our table, the area we were in was very loud. Like a cafeteria loud. Tile floors, glass walls and a lower ceiling created a very loud room, a high pitched kind of loud. However they were very nice and got us a different table in a larger room with higher ceilings and carpeted floors. Our waiter said they were aware and plans were in place to fix the issue. Still, I was a little surprised they didn't factor that in when building the place.
Besides that one issue, I like the new location and my wife and I intend to visit again soon.
My spouse & I celebrated our anniversary & his 🎂 on Christmas Eve. Impressed with the new establishment including impeccable service and the food was excellent!
My favorite steakhouse in LA. I took my partner for his bday and the servers and hosts made it so special. We ordered the tomahawk and it was the best piece of meat we’ve ever had. Their service was impeccable even though the restaurant was at capacity, and they gave my partner a birthday dessert. Loved it!
Large restaurant with plenty of tables but still would make reservations. Steaks and lobster are favorites here. I got the 11oz filet which was very good. Cheesecake desert was nice too.
