Delightfully old school experience for burgers and ice cream. Late spring or early fall are good times to visit, summer is a bit hot.

We all agree the cheeseburger is better than in-n-out which can only mean one thing, this is the best in California. It’s seasoned really well and has little toasty bits too.
The French fries are absolutely better! And other favorite is the coffee shake!
The eastern sierras are my favorite place to visit and part of that is stopping at the Frosty Chalet! So delicious 😋

For the past 30 years, I've stopped here every time I pass through Lone Pine which is about 2-3 times a year. It's not out of this world but they make a great hand-dipped soft serve. I had a malt this last time through it was a decent. Lone Pine isn't the "cool spot" on the run up 395, so just saying the words "Frosty Chalet" brings back chilly memories and good times. I can't comment on their food as I have not tried any of it. I'm there for the ice cold treats!

UPDATE! They opened for the summer on 4th of July weekend. 6/25 CLOSED… so sad that it’s not open. Our family loved stopping here when on 395. Best ice cream & shakes

Stopped here during a heat wave and had the soft serve swirl and coffee/ chocolate shake. It was all so delicious and refreshing! Only improvement would be for them to stop using styrofoam.

THE BEST MILKSHAKE IN THE USA.
Not even exaggerated, their cherry shake is absolutely the best milkshake we had during our trip. They use a slower rotation machine which will take a few more minutes to prepare but the result is so silky smooth. Highly recommended, even if you are just passing by!

This place is the BEST! If your on the 395 you have to stop! This place has become a Tradition with my family. We plan our drive thru Lone Pine around Frosty Chalet hours "Summertime".It's cash only so make sure you have some and enough for a shake. We stop multiple times a year and have never been let down, I'm positive you won't be either.... Get a double!
