Very, very good Catfish and sides. Who ever is back there burning, thank you! My wife and I drove to Vegas for a little get away and wanted Soul food! If you are looking for the same stop in. 2 plates and desert will run about 50, but you get 3 nice size portions of fish (per plate), two sides, a huge slice of corn bread and 2 desserts! Bring your own drink and life is good! Oh yeah, the liquor store is right next door! Enjoy! 🔥🔥👍

You want to come here. Nice, relaxing little restaurant with good food. Staff was friendly and welcoming. All the food came out fresh and very tasty. They have a counter completely dedicated to their different cakes. It took so much for me not to order one of every kind because they all looked so good. If you're indecisive about what cake you want, they'll offer a couple of samples (provided that a slice has already been taken from the cake)

Soul food restaurant. I ordered chicken breast and wings. Cooked very well, not dry at all; very tender. I absolutely LOVE their sweet potatoes!!! Must have. Their lemon cake is also to-die-for! Customer service is amazing and it's black-owned. I was having a rough day, so my husband treated me to lunch, here. Our waitress, Tempest, was very kind, and even attentive to my feeling down. She gave me a big hug, and wished me well. The environment is very welcoming and it is definitely worth paying them a visit. Leave a nice tip for your waitress 😉

Food was excellent! I'm in the Navy, stationed in California and me and my family were dying for some soul food as they do not have it in our part of California. We ordered food for pick up and it was beyond amazing! Smothered pork chops were the best I've had. Greens, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and Mac were all amazing. Hot wings were tasty to the bone! Don't make a mistake and pass this up!

Very nice quaint place tucked away and was ideal for where I needed to be an hour later. Also had for dessert very vanilla cake and caramel eyes. The catfish was delicious and sides greens and yams with cornbread yummy. Our waiter was very attentive and was pleasant to interact with. It received a 4 out of 5 because the chicken needed a tad more seasoning with the waffles. Both desserts are mouth watering and a must have. Will definitely be back.

I always love coming here. I know that the restaurant is clean, the service is always on point and the cakes are the best. I've never had a bad flavor. This time was my first trying the mac n cheese and I wouldn't recommend that particular side. Everything else is A1 though. Compliments to the chef 😊

This place will get a four star until I taste their food. This rating is based off of the appearance of the establishment. The friendly and hard working staff. Place was full not packed and a comfortable home type of vibe. The entire team helped one another and the food looked and smelled delicious. The waitress allowed me to taste the red velvet cake in which was tasty. A butter cake with little sugar make into a cheesecake type. Delicious! Try it out!!

My wife suggested we try this place, and I'm glad she did. I had a hankering for some soul food. My wife had catfish, potato salad and greens. I had southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes and greens. We both agreed the food was excellent. The catfish was fresh and well seasoned, and the chicken was also very tasty. For dessert, we had peach cobbler and Straight-Up Chocolate cake. Both were also very good. Our total bill was over $50, and worth every penny.. Service was excellent, beginning with the friendly greeting at the door. The dining area was clean and pleasant. Our whole experience was very positive. You can tell the owner has a passion for his business. It's great to have such a good soul food place on the west side of town.
