Love this place. We’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and they’re by far the best taco place in town! I have no idea what people are complaining about. The pastor is incredible so is the carne asada! There is a line out the door Friday and Saturdays otherwise we never have to wait very long. Service is great as well. Will definitely be back soon.

I absolutely enjoyed the steak and adobados tacos. Prices were reasonable and service was quick! I also tried pork belly and chorizo. Liked the pork belly not as much for the chorizo

Nestled in a converted gas station near a Denny's, this restaurant is easily spotted from the road. When you walk in you're greeted by 3 different lines for various meat types and at each station you can order those meats as a taco, quesadilla, vampiro, etc. The place was busy, and my timing was awful as the first line I went to had a shift change, the second line was packed and needed to make fresh tortillas, and the third was long as well. By the time I made it to the cashier, my first taco was not as warm as when I started ordering. For two tacos, a vampiro, and a can of coke, I paid $20. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, but the value didn't feel like $20. The rest of my party timed their lines well and were basically done eating by the time I made it through checkout. I'll try the asada fries next time.

First time at the North Las Vegas location (we usually eat at the Charleston spot) and we found it as good as our old favorite. We had Tacos Adovada, a Vampiro Adovada, and a Sope Chorizo, all delicious. Like many others, we think the ordering system is unwieldy and inefficient, but we put up with it because we like the food. We do miss the chunk of piña they used to carve off the pineapple to top each taco.

Service was 10/10 very nice and polite from everyone. Taste was definitely a 10/10 from the first bite you can taste the flavor of their fresh man tortillas, the very tasteful meat, and their sauce. The nopales that they serve with a tortilla bien tostatita with their fresh guacamole ohhh my goodnesss that alone made me love this place very much. Overall truly I didn’t think they were good but they live up to their expectations! Must have for any taco cravings these are it!!!

Al Pastor was the best I've ever had.

I've been a street taco enthusiast ever since living in Mexico for 2.5 years, and the Al Pastor Mulas at Tacos El Gordo are the best tacos I've ever had. Seriously, they're that good. My family makes it a point to stop here every time we pass through Vegas, and I've even converted many of my friends. If you're a Gringo, just try the Mulas with everything on it plus a squeeze of lime, and you'll experience a burst of incredible flavors. I've sampled other tacos at El Gordos and they are pretty good too, but the Mulas are the real standout. Don’t expect a fancy location. There are still chainlink fences around the non-functioning gas station pumps out front (perhaps they could finally address that). However, you should come here for the tacos, not for the ambiance.

Nothing hidden about this place but there’s a reason why! Amazing tacos for a really fair price. This location is further from the strip but still had a big crowd, however it was really fast and easy to navigate. You can tell everything is fresh and authentic before you even take the first bite. Must try place while in Vegas, don’t even question the decision.

As much as I wanted to try a different Vegas restaurant, I knew I just had to have Tacos El Gordo again. I settled for trying a different location. This place is funky. It appears to be in an old gas station. Parking is hodgepodge, including all around the old pumps. The building is quirky and old, definitely not spotless either. The staff don’t say much but are quick. None of that matters, the only thing that matters here are the delicious and cheap tacos! They have different lines for different meat options. They offer “Azteca” style for the same price, which also come with grilled cactus. Everything is delicious. They have salsas available which aren’t even needed. Everything here rocks.

The steak fries were delicious and had a smokey flavor. The tacos were ok I'd recommend getting the steak tacos over pork.
