On a whirlwind tour of NYC pizza slices in Vegas, I've now had the opportunity to try them at three different spots. Pizza Forte was the third and although it was pretty good, and legitimately a NYC slice with the requisite super thin and crispy crust, I'd have to put it as number 3, (but again still pretty good.!) I found the place because it happened to be in the Virgin Hotel where I was staying and I thought, why not wander the casino and see if they have NYC slices. (It seems most resort casinos have everything so it was a go...umm...bet.) Sure enough Pizza Forte popped up just off the casino. It was pretty dead upon my late-night stumbling in. There were a handful of slices under the display case ready to be heated up. I had a cheese because that's the litmus test for pizza at a new place. It did the job. Perfectly crispy just like back in the old neighborhood. (I mean someone's old neighborhood, I'm sure.) Maybe the cheese-to-sauce ratio was not quite what I wanted. (I like a little more sauce and a little less cheese.) But I devoured the whole thing. I think there's probably an emotional component to pizza in any particular genre. Once you find your favorite slice...it will always be your favorite slice...And no matter how good another spot's slices are, if they aren't quite the same, it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, it's just not the pizza slice that resonates as strongly with you. This was the case for me here. Oh, but I'd eat it again.

This is a nice little spot located inside of the Virgin Hotels Resort on the Las Vegas Strip. It was pretty easy to find once inside of the hotel. On our visit, the line was short and moved pretty fast. The staff wasn’t very warm, but they did say hello once we made it to the register. They have precooked calzones and a variety of pizza when you enter the line, I believe they reheat them upon order. NY slice will cost you $3.75 each, and $4.25 for a roman slice. You can also order a 10” personal pizza from $10.00-$11.95, or an 18” from $24.00-$26.00. Depending on what you order, additional toppings will cost you from $0.25 to $2.50 per topping. If pizza isn’t on your mind, they do offer a variety of Italian Street Foods and salads, such as meatball subs, Polpette, Piadina’s, Caesar and Mediterranean salads and more. They also offer Italian sausage with peppers and onions, and hotdogs. If you want something sweet, the have gelato, cannoli’s and more. On this visit, I chose to order the Eggplant Caprese Piadina with the vegan mozzarella, and my cousin ordered the Polpette. After paying for our orders, we received our food within 5 minutes, it was very quick. We decided to take our food outside and sit in the resort’s courtyard. As I opened my to-go box, I was shocked at how huge my Piadina was. It was really more than I expected. For $12.95, I really felt I got every penny of my money’s worth. It was stuffed with grilled eggplant, mixed greens, tomato, mozzarella, pesto, and balsamic. The combination of ingredients truly tasted like a party in my mouth. It was so delicious. I truly could’ve saved ½ of my Piadina for another meal, that’s how filling it was. My cousin finished her Polpette (3 meatballs), and said they were great. We both had a great meal, and I will definitely come back here again and order the same thing. That Eggplant Caprese Piadina, Rocks!!! Highly recommend Pizza Forte for a snack, or a tasty meal.

Delicious! An adorable pizza place inside the Virgin Hotel. Hours 11AM - 11PM. Need an Italian donut, or some cannoli, or a bit of gelato after your delicious pizza? They have that too!

Hands down the best pizza in all of Las Vegas and the top 3 best slices of pizza I’ve ever had. If your a Vegas local you know that the pizza here is flat out terrible, but this place is absolutely delicious!!

Great place for a quick meal. They offer different types of pizza and slices (NY or Roman) plus other food options such as a lovely aubergine piadina. It is possible to dine in or take away. The place can get busy during lunch/dinner time, and as every meal is made fresh (except the pizza slices, which are reheated), there might be a little wait to get your meal depending on what time of the day you visit. It is worth it, though. A few dessert/sweet options, such as cannoli, are also offered.

After reading Sara's review below I realized I had to try this place. The negative things she described are all the quintessential things you find in a real pizza shop. As a transplant from New York, specifically Syracuse, its really difficult to find a good shop out here, but this one is it. As someone who spent 5 years working as a pizza maker this pie is perfect. My only complaint is the use of cornmeal on the pie but apart from that, it is a perfect slice. They also carry Hoffman Hotdogs, which, as a native from Upstate NY, was really nice to have that flavor again. Nothing compares to Hoffmans IMHO, even Nathans. Anyway, take it from a New Yorker, this place knows what its doing. I live a short drive from this shop, and I plan to be back often. Anyone who leaves a bad review is probably too used to Sabaro or Dominoes haha.

Decent place to grab something quick to eat like pizza. They also have calzones, salad, and dessert (canoli). Staff are prompt and efficient.

I dig this place. It's unsuspecting, with the entrance a bit hidden, but the pizza was fantastic and the slices were big. Service was quick and the lady at the counter was very friendly.

Very affordable and great place to get pizza/calzones. I'm a Las Vegas local and have been missing this place from my hometown that served my absolute favorite calzones. I stumbled across this place while staying at the hotel. I really wasn't expecting the flavor that hit my mouth when I took my first bite. It was incredible and had me reminiscing back on all the times of going to the small pizza shop back home. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
