Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Just bought two Turkey bacon sandwiches today for take out and there was hardly Turkey, tomatoes and NO bacon. Sandwiches are usually cut in half, which no big deal I ended up cutting them myself. Seems like some of the T.S. employees didn’t feel like working today. Shame because usually they have incredible customer service. They usually call out the customers names, but not today. They just called out the food order. an order was given to another person that wasn’t theirs. I’m always looking forward to eating these sandwiches, today not so much. Next time I hope they make it right. Unfortunately, I’ll have to open the wrapping paper before I leave to make sure it’s the Sandwich I purchase.

I'm sad to say this location has gone downhill since the pandemic - it used to be one of my favorite quick places to come because I don't really do McDonald's or those types of fast food restaurants. I live around the corner and come here frequently, more for the convenience than anything else lately. The last time I had food here, my wrap was soaking with dressing and missing ingredients. Today, I decided to go through the drive-through around 1:40 pm. An employee comes on the speaker "Welcome to Tropical Smoothie, we are busy right now so it will be about a 5 minute wait." I said "ok, no problem." Five minutes later, what sounded like a different employee came on the speaker "hi, we are really busy right now so we can't make any food orders." I said "no problem, I'll just have a smoothie." There were three cars in front of me and after driving around, the inside of the restaurant was completely empty. After receiving my smoothie almost 15 minutes later, I overheard the employee saying over her mic "it will be about a 10-15 minute wait." I understand they may also have orders to make from other food services such as Uber Eats, etc, but this is no way to talk customers. I also understand the issues with being understaffed that most restaurants are still facing, however, the way they are saying what they're saying makes it seem like they just don't care or want to work.

I pull up to drive thru and after waiting a few minutes since there was a car in front of me, they let me know that they’re not taking orders right now because of a shift change. Besides for being annoyed because I drove all the way to that location because I needed a drive thru, I was stuck behind the car in front of me and just had to sit and wait until they got her order in.

They thought it was funny to put no chicken in my super green Chicken Caesar wraps I guess it’s funny to waste people hard earned 30 dollars which is half of what these workers get paid in a day I feel sorry for the owner that has children working here who would rather gossip about stuff that doesn’t even matter then do their job just another business that’s gonna go downhill
