What is a guy from Texas doing in a BBQ venue in Las Vegas? Enjoying it. Our table started off with the nachos grandes which was enough for a table of four. With a nice ratio of meat to beans, this was a great and spicy start to the main course.
The beef brisket was good, in fact probably on par with most barbecue in Texas, except for the fact that the brisket was delivered to my table with the sauce already atop the meat. When I see that I am suspicious that the chef is trying to hide something. In this case, the brisket had some good char to it. The nicely sweet sauce, thankfully, was not a hindrance, but added to the flavor of the entree. They served enough semi-crisp fries and cole slaw to make dessert unnecessary. Speaking of cole slaw, I didn't think this version was all that, but was filling.
Service was perfunctory and seemed rushed, even though there were several open tables. I gave up my lemon to another since the server used them to designate sweet from unsweetened tea.
But really, bottom line is this is a good pick for BBQ in Vegas, and having several locations is a plus.
Another great meal BBQ sandwitch was good
Famous Daves is good.. Check out my in depth review for the Craig road location. I give this one a 8/10. Thanks!
Great place. Awesome food we went to celebrate my b-day and it wasn't crowded. Ribs were delicious 😋 my teenager sons were fascinated with them. My wife fall in love with one of their BBQ sauce spicy. Our server §onny was so helpful and polite.
I Enjoy this place alot I went there for my Birthday. They have this burnt backend combo meal that is hickory smoked samples of delicious beef. These 4 pretty girls came to my table who worked there and sang happy birthday in perfect harmony, reccomend the baked potato and garlic mashed potatoes.
My husband and I came here for lunch and it was one of the best lunch experiences we've had in a while! Jessica was so nice and professional and here service was empecable in every way. Ki' ya greeted us with her sweet presence and let us decide where we wanted to sit. Jessica then took over with taking our order. She politely helped me decide on a tropical drink while my hubby opted for a beer and the rest was history. We ordered the rib tips for a starter which came fast with fries and it was the bomb and so tender! Then I ordered the sweet water catfish with beans and this creamy, delicious cole slaw and my hubby got the BBQ chicken with this southwestern style Mac and cheese that was delectable! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was just as awesome. The facility was clean, I checked out the bathrooms and they were up to par. Handicapped accessible bathrooms and seating everywhere.
I rate most places because of the quality of service I receive. Today, I sat at the bar and Jessica served me. From start to finish I was well taken care of.
Also, this location is full of friendly people. The personnel here always has a smile on their faces and are polite and patient in answering questions.
The location is very clean, with a atmosphere free of the chemical smells of industrial cleaning agents.
This is not my first time here, but I believe it is my first review. It's the Famous Dave's I always patronize when in Las Vegas!!
Food was exactly as expected or even better! Service was 15 min beyond what was promised, which was already 30 minutes. Counter person nice, as not much she could do. Out of green beans, but didn't find out until 40 minutes in. Big container for food didn't fit correctly but bag held it together. Cost was decent but if in a hurry, best order way ahead.
I ordered wings to go. They have BOGO wings deal on Saturday and Sunday. Wings are delicious and in good portions. Will order again. The California stores are running AUYE rib tips for $16.99 but unfortunately not in Vegas stores.
I have been here several times. Last week, when I visited, the brisket was cooked to perfection, and the ribs were tender. When you're looking to order BBQ and it's not from me (haha), this is definitely the spot to go for a chian restaurant.
The food was great and warm as always. Our server, I called her Pamela. She was great and provided great service. I had friends in from out of town. We were a party of 7 and she handled it. This particular FD never fails me, that is the reason why i keep coming back to this location.
Our waitress was rude, however we had a gentleman by the name of Troy who stepped up to the plate to make sure we were satisfied and also seemed concerned about our experience as we related to him. There was also another waitress whose name is Jessica and even though she was not our server I noticed how personable and friendly she was, I called over to my table to get her name, so that next time we came we could ask to be seat d at her section.
I had the Ultimate sandwich and my husband had the burnt ends and chicken. All of the food was savory and delicious. However we spent about 50 bucks for this meal. But it was definitely worth the hype.
