As we were in town for the Rock N' Roll Half Marathon, we were in need of a carb heavy Italian restaurant to fuel up for the big 13 mile race the next night. We originally intended to try out one of the fancy Italian options at The Venetian or Bellagio as a pre race treat. However, we ended up at Don Vito's after passing it several times at our hotel, South Point. The restaurant looked enticing and was conveniently located just downstairs from our hotel room. I have to say that I was impressed with the food, service, and pretty setting of this spectacular Italian gem.
Excellent!!. Don Vito's is by far the best Italian in town and the prices are excellent! (Even though they just raised menu prices it's still very reasonable) The ambience is very relaxed! Tracy, the server, is extremely professional, gracious and welcoming! We love her and go back to see her!
Some of the servers though are very rude and unprofessional, accusing of us not being guests of the hotel and demanding our IDs once. Now we always request Tracy.
Some of the best osso bucco I've had the pleasure of enjoying! Excellent service. Delicious meal!!
A wonderful Italian restaurant within the SouthPoint Casino. Avoid any wait and make a reservation and request a booth. Cozy round booths! Excellent service! Great wine choices, including a delicious Edna Valley Cab at a decent price per bottle. For those staying in the hotel, I understand there is a coupon available for free wine. Other reviewers said the restaurant was dark. We didn’t find it dark at all. It is a bigger sized restaurant so it doesn’t feel cramped or overcrowded even when busy. Delicious bread basket and accompaniments. The meatball appetizer (photo only shows one; sorry, we devoured the others) was delicious and fresh made - not frozen - with a delicious tomato sauce. Caesar Salad is assembled and tossed table-side, with optional anchovies. Just delicious! The Eggplant Parmesan was perfectly done - not mushy at all. It was fresh and delicious! The Linguine Clams were delicious also! Over 20 clams in shells, plus more in the sauce and noodles. None were rubbery in the least! I went for the white sauce, which was a good choice , as it really let the flavors come through!
We enjoyed every morsel and every minute at Don Vito’s. We will be back. I would highly recommend.
Bread basket = nice!
Caesar salad = great!
Lasagna = skip. Mushy, no specific flavor
Tiramisu = fun. Pretty, but again…mushy
Service = EXCELLENT!
Great lil Italian place off the strip. The hotel has a coupon for a free bottle of wine with 2 entrees. Food was great, for a reasonable price. Staff was extra friendly
Loved this spot! Service was great...the food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. I'd definitely dine here again.

Very good Italian food found out the South point. We got there around opening and got a nice secluded little spot. Very dark restaurant so if you have a trouble reading in the dark I would use your phones flashlight. The staff is extremely attentive coming around often for refills or just ask how you're doing. You are automatically given a bread basket with a small assortment of different breads as well as tomato based dip of sorts that you can use with it. I ordered a Caesar salad with my meal which they tossed it table side which was nice. The chicken parmesan was good, very filling especially if you decide to add pasta to it like I did. For dessert we got tiramisu which was fantastic, you could taste the Kahlua that they used when making it.
The service and food here are quite good. It is inside the South Point, and only serves dinner. Prices are reasonable by Las Vegas strip standards; dinner for two with a cocktail and a glass of wine was about $150. Loved the antipasto board, and their caprese salad. Cocktails were very tasty too. Our only complaint is that our two entrees were just kind of OK. Nothing wrong with them, just not wowed like we were with the appetizers, sides, and dessert (get the pineapple upside down cake)! I would suggest a reservation, they can get pretty busy.
Very nice authentic atmosphere. All the wait staff were excellent, friendly and on point. The charcuterie board was great. The soup and entrees were so delicious and so was the bread. We stayed for 2 more bottles of wine until sadly they had to close for the evening. What a great dining experience. Bellissimo!
This place is amazing! Service, food, ambiance, everything. Started with some bread and a garlic, tomato, olive oil type chutney (amazing btw), shrimp cocktail for an appetizer (also amazing). Ceasar salad (made true tableside) is the best ever! I had my favorite, Eggplant Parmigian and hubs had the classic lasagna. I will definitely ne back to try everything on the menu.
Good food, seated immediately, great service from our server Bryan. I highly recommend the pear salad and add shrimp to it. Amazing.
We were at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa for convention. The food at Don Vito's was wonderful. Tip, you can share entrees for a $10 up charge which was perfect for us. They have very generous portions. Will definitely go again next convention.
