Great price, good food. The restaurant is located on a small landing off the casino floor which can be a bit challenging to find. However it is nice to be away from the smoke and sounds of the casino for a relatively quiet dining experience. The decor is old-style Las Vegas - artistic wall decor, dim lights and very "clubby".
Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at a table (vs a booth). The menu is brief but offers more than just Prime Rib. Our server arrived promptly bringing a large basket of warm bread and a plate of butter. We took quite some time talking and alerted our server that we weren't in a hurry to order.
It took some effort to flag down our server to place our order once we made our decisions. The meal arrived quickly thereafter - the salads arrived on a cart and were assembled table-side. The house salad was replete with onion, corn and cherry tomatoes - a nice change from the usual romaine lettuce (boring).
I ordered the South Point Cut prime rib, medium rare. It arrived correctly cooked with a medium-sized baked potato and a side of horseradish. The baked potato, like the salad, was dressed table-side. The prime rib was cooked correctly but it didn't have much seasoning. Fortunately the horseradish is served unmixed with the sour-cream sauce and it was freshly grated (read: HOT!!). Most horseradishes are mild, at best - this iteration, even in small portions, was tearful - exactly as it should be. It added to the prime rib, making the entree very good. The plate also had quite a bit of au jus which was perfect for the potato "bones".
We decided on dessert since our hotel coupon book included it - I opted for the cheesecake. If was disappointing - a small, round cheesecake that was solid and dense with no flavor. At least it was free.
All told, the dinner was good - the prices are reasonable at $65 for 3 people. It's not necessarily a destination restaurant but it's a good choice if you're in the area and want a prime rib.
Good prime rib, great prices for the strip. I had the blackenx prime rib. Gor ?17, a good pfice and goldesl. Lots of locals eating here. Good food for a good price with great service.
Great meal at low cost. The cowboy cut is an excellent choice ... keep in mind it is "select" beef that the chef did a spectacular job with ... the big cut is only $20's ... well worth it! Couldn't hold it all so we took the bone back to hotel ... I finished it the next morning.
It is a nice restaurant, table seating and booth, large tables for families or groups. Low lighting, elegant. Table side presentations, good selection of food. I had the prime chili beans for my starter, the English cut prime rib, and 5 cheese mash potatoes. My drink was mineral water and a dbl Jack Daniel's and Pepsi. My wife had chicken breast glazed reduction , baked potato, and butter. We both had salads with Italian dressing, she also had a patron Silver Margaritas.
Primarily Prime Rib was a winner from start to finish. Located inside South Point Hotel and Casino, this restaurant has a great vibe. Music is audible but not too loud, which allowed for conversation. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. My boyfriend and I ordered coconut shrimp for an appetizer, prime rib for dinner, and hot apple dessert. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Absolutely wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
One of our favorite restaurants in Vegas. Definitely THE best place for prime rib (way better than Lowery's). The prices are so affordable. The sides are not that spectacular but we come for the meat which is always superb. They do make a mean baked potato though.
The service was excellent. They tossed every salad and dressed your potatoes near your table. The chairs are comfy and the tables are roomy. The Prime rib was perfectly seasoned and tender. The chicken and the salmon were also excellent. We had dinner the night before at Caesars Palace and Primarily Prime Rib was much better . Be patient all the extras the servers perform does slow the process but its worth the wait. Enjoy
I can't believe we've been going to Vegas every year for over 30 years and we just found this gem of a restaurant.🤦 We ate here twice in the week we stayed at Grand View.
This restaurant is located on the second level of the South Point casino. The service is stellar! One person gets your beverages, another person gets your bread and salad and then the main waiter serves your entree. You feel like you're at a very expensive restaurant but the prices there are very reasonable. I loved my dinner salad with Italian dressing. I ate the whole thing which I never do, but it was so good I couldn't stop! Then that prime rib was honestly the best tasting I've ever had in my life! Seriously only about a tbls of fat... That's it! I ordered the South Point cut and it was way more than I could finish but I tried because it was so so good!!! My husband had the English cut which was 3 thinly sliced pieces of prime. It just melted in my mouth! I mean mine was excellent but this thinner cut just literally melted in your mouth. I will get that the next time I go for sure.
My husband had creme brulee for dessert that he raved so much about, he ordered a second one!
I was given a complimentary strawberry dessert for my birthday that was very tasty and huge!
Definitely check this place out!
You won't be disappointed, especially if you order the prime rib!
Very nice Thanksgiving dinner. 3 course, including salad, exceptional prime rib, steamed vegetables, nicely cooked small potatoes and wonderful truffles for dessert. Add a very nice bottle of chardonnay, all for under $50...our favorite prime rib restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! We were celebrating our anniversary and we were surprised with complimentary champagne and a card.
Returned in 2023 and it was Amazing! Even took local family with us and they too loved it. Best Prime Rib Ever! Excellent flavor and cooked perfectly. Worth the trip and located in a beautiful casino off the strip. Highly recommended and will go back on my next trip to Vegas. (And we did go back) Great Value, Quantity and Quality.
Had a wonderful date here with my husband! Beautiful setting. Very romantic! This place is also great for bigger groups. The presentation of their food is beautiful. Not only does it look good, their food taste amazing!
My husband got the Southpoint cut. Absolutely delicious! I got the Surf & Turf and it tasted amazing. Both dishes were very pleasant along with the sides that we ordered. Our dishes came out very quickly and our server was amazing and very friendly.
Excellent prime rib restaurant. It has a high end 1950s,1960s atmosphere. The service is excellent, making you feel like a high roller. We got the Prime Rib South Point Cut, Loaded Baked Potato, and Spinach Salad. The prime rib was very lean, tender, and perfectly seasoned. It's the first time I've ever had less than a tablespoon of fat to cut off a prime rib. The Spinach Salad and Loaded Baked Potato were prepared table side. The spinach was very fresh and tender, with no wilted or rust spots. The bacon dressing was excellent, the the perfect balance of vinegar and sweetness. The baked potato was large, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. The server added the perfect amount of sour cream and butter. At most other restaurants, I have to ask for extra sour cream and butter once I get to the dry base of their potatoes. Not here, the potato had no dry spots and there was butter and sour cream in every bite. This is my new favorite Prime Rib restaurant in Vegas. Update: Went again; this time we got the Rodeo and South Point cuts of Prime Rib, seasonal veggies, and loaded baked potato. Everything was excellent! Update: Got South Point cuts of Prime Rib, Spinach Salad, and 5 Cheese Mashed Potatoes. Everything was excellent, but the mashed potatoes which were just ok. I expected to see and be able to taste the cheese in the mashed potatoes. Update: Got the Prime Rib South Point Cut, Loaded Baked Potato, Seasonal Veggies, and Spinach Salad. Everything was excellent as usual.
