Really good fried cod fish fillets. Especially w/tartar sauce. It's a bit pricey, however, for what is essentially a nicer seafood fast food joint...When I say nicer I mean in comparison to the only other fast food places I've tried before that specialize in seafood - Skippers & Long John Silvers (similar atmosphere though). Ivar's is definitely a step above in quality, taste and at least equal in quantity.. It's just not quite sit down restaurant level quality, and to be fair, maybe it's not trying to be..
A fairly small and not too crowded environment with great food and amazing, friendly staff will come again highly recommend a stop by this establishment
Ivar’s is exceptional!! Friendly and prompt service. Spacious restaurant, very clean and comfy. Excellent music, too. I especially loved the clam chowder. The “Full Boat” special is what we order and a great deal: 10 pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw and clam chowder. Definitely recommend and decidedly we’ll be back.
This place was awesome! A friend of mine told me about it, so we checked it out this past weekend. Super nice folks running it, and the food was great! Will definitely come back again.
Very satisfying meal. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Personally I would try the grilled fish next time.
I hadn't been to Ivar's in awhile and I just want to say, amazing experience! The food has always been great. We had the scallops, cod, coleslaw and clam chowder. Yummy as usual but what set this apart was the service, cleanliness and overall experience there today. Sarah greeted us and took our order and was so sweet and professional! Rodney, who was the manager, spent time in kitchen cooking, served food, checked on everybody and really cared. They are so nice there and such hard workers. They made my day!
