Poupart's Bakery And Bistro

It was my dad's 88th birthday and he looks great for 88. I know my pop loves German chocolate and if I'm going to get a German chocolate cake I'm going to go to Pouparts bakery. But don't go there hungry because you're going to end up sampling and going home with a goodie bag and it's well worth it. And acadiana tradition they've been serving the Lafayette area for a long time and the reason is how delicious their food and cakes are. are you like I did call a day ahead special order a cake Tell them what the birthday boy or girl enjoys doing and they'll decorate that cake just like they did for my dad look at the fishing and the boat. Pouparts help make my dad's 88th birthday a birthday that we will remember and by the way that cake was delicious.

Delicious food and beautiful eating area. I got their Monday special: a half Croque Monsieur with a cup of Corn and Crab Bisque for $10 It did take about 30 minutes to make the Croque, but I wasn't in a rush and they warned me once I ordered it that it would take that long. It was a delicious sandwich so no complaints here. There bisque was also excellent. On top of amazing food, I know that their sweets are delicious. Lastly, environment. As you can see from my picture, the sitting area is beautiful and quaint. Perfect for a lunch date or small staff gathering (no more than 8-10 people) One side note, they didn't seem too equipped to handle any sort of minor lunch rush. They seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the 15 or so people eating there at the time.
