Sweet Cheeks did our wedding cake and it was amazing!! They were so helpful from the start and every cake we tested was delicious. We went with a lemon cake and all of our guests loved it, not to mention it was decorated beautifully. I would absolutely recommend them for any wedding!
We have sweet cheeks create our baked goods for every special event! They recently made a gorgeous cake & the most beautiful iced cookies for our baby's 1st birthday party at the pumpkin patch. They captured our vision & the theme of the event just perfectly. And they are the most wonderful people to work with~ so responsive & sweet...we just love their whole team & can't wait to enlist them for our next event!
Sweet Cheeks Baking Company is THE BEST! I work in the wedding industry so when it came time for me to get married I was lucky enough to have an inside track on the wedding cake circuit! I knew without a doubt that it had to be Sweet Cheeks!
Our cake was a true work of art and we couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out. We had an idea of what we liked but these guys are true artists and came up with the perfect design for us. The entire staff are the nicest people and it always feels good to spend your money hiring kind people. They offer a ton of options for flavors, we got a ton of compliments on our cake, and they happily worked with us on allergy requests.
The entire process of working with them was super easy and fun. I can't recommend them enough!
My friend and her husband had their wedding cake made here and raved about their lemon berry cake. I decided to order two 6-inch lemon berry cakes from Sweet Cheeks for them to enjoy on their first Christmas and their first anniversary. Their service was great and they were very helpful. I was disappointed though when my friend opened the box and the Happy Anniversary sign they made was smeared on the cake making the presentation messy because the cake's were expensive. Other than that, good cake.
When we signed our contract with Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, Sweet Cheeks was apart of our package. We are a dessert couple, so having a huge cake wasn't our plan; but Sweet Cheeks maddest work. They offered us a package that included a 6-inch cake for use to cut and taste and we were able to have an array of mini desserts for our guests to enjoy! They enjoyed them so much that we weren't able to taste them ourselves. However, we were able to purchase a sampler box for us to relive our special day.

I have to say, sweet cheeks is the best!!! I had to plan a wedding last minute and Jon was very accommodating since day 1! He definitely worked with my wedding budget and made suggestions and gave examples of what comes in it which is very helpful! Great communication as well. Him and his team definitely follows through with how you want it to be. What made me even more impressed is the day of the wedding; i would expect that they would just drop off the cake (which they were on time - its amazing!) but they even offered and asked if we have a cake decoration which i had get last minute - all i did was handed them a plastic with cake decorations inside and i had to step away for to attend guest and when i got back Jon and his Chef decorated the cake for us! I was amazed because they took the time and they were very fast too. It was so beautiful and I just couldn’t stop looking at it. It was definitely how I wanted it to be. On top of that, we got the red velvet cake and it was the best cake ever!!! First bite and i was just in awe. I looked at my husband and we were just like “this cake is soooo good!!” Its definitely the best. Their hospitality is very much appreciated and they really did take the time on creating it and also making it memorable and easy for us. I will definitely order again for my future occasions and will recommend to my friends :)
I cannot say enough great things about Elaine and her team at Sweet Cheeks! The cake design was absolutely stunning and everything we hoped for! We wanted something different yet elegant and classic and it was perfection! And most importantly the cake was delicious and all of our guests have been raving about it! Sweet Cheeks has been a favorite bakery of mine for years with my nephews birthday cake, cupcakes, friends bridal shower cake and now our wedding cake! And once again they far exceeded our expectations. I am a dessert person and not only the cake but all the mini desserts we ordered were SO delicious.
The team is amazing to work with and is so patient in listening and working through every detail with you! They are true delight to work with and in my opinion the best bakery in San Diego! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our dream wedding cake and dessert table come to life, it was more than anything we could have asked for!

Sweet Cheeks did my wedding cake in January 2016 and it was beautiful and delicious! We went with Continental Catering for our caterer and they have some kind of partnership with Sweet Cheeks where the cake is included in the catering cost (WIN!). I was planning my wedding from across the country and took a quick trip July to meet with vendors. They were very flexible with fitting me in to do a tasting and discuss the cake design. I really loved all of the options we had to choose to from design-wise and flavor-wise. Lauren sat with us and sketched up the design in real-time so that we could get an idea of what it may look like. For the tasting, they provided us with a sample of each kind of cake and icing separately, so that we could mix and match them on our own, which was really nice so that we could taste at our own pace over a glass of wine :) Our coordinator is familiar with Sweet Cheeks, so she took care of the finer details like cake display and having the florist add flowers to the cake on the wedding day. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and everything we asked for! We were so happy with how it turned out and got lots of compliments from guests on how delicious it was. A few weeks after the wedding, we got a really nice note from them in the mail thanking us for choosing them and sending us well wishes - it was such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend Sweet Cheeks!
Lauren Rennie with Sweet Cheeks was the best. She helped us pick our cake flavors and turned my cake vision into reality. She was patient with me as I asked questions on the design and helped me come up with the prettiest cake. She was very responsive and easy to work with. Sweet Cheeks provided us with one of the best wedding cakes my husband and I have ever eaten and we loved all the flavors- we barely narrowed it down to 3 options for our guests. We can’t wait to eat our leftover wedding cake on our one year wedding anniversary!
The folks at Sweet Cheeks were SO amazing! When our wedding became a COVID-casualty we decided to have Sweet Cheeks make the grooms cake we had ordered to celebrate our elopement.
From the moment we walked in for our first appointment, everyone was amazing! Elaine really took the time to get to know us and help us design a cake to rock our worlds - and boy, did they deliver!
