Sanctuary Vegan Cafe

Delicious vegan spot in Knoxville! I’m vegetarian (not vegan) and had never tried a Philly cheesesteak, so when I saw that on the menu I knew I had to give it a try. It was amazing, and the seitan used as the meat substitute was extremely tasty and had so much flavor and tenderness. I would recommend it to anyone, not just vegetarians or vegans!!

So this is one of the only all vegan restaurants in the city of Knoxville! Hopefully someone including me follow suit. So they have very weird hours as you have to look it up on the website or you can go by the restaurant and in the window they have posted different days sometimes they only do vegan pizza other days they're full kitchens open, you just have to look and see. Everyone is super chill, their prices are going to be a little higher because ingredients for vegan in general are a little more right now. Cool thing is you can eat and catch a movie or vice versa catch a movie and then eat as there is a movie theater about 5 Seconds Away walking distance. And then you can go shop at Burlington Coat Factory 2 get off some of that weight you just gained. Eat well!

I’m new to the Knoxville area and I was so excited to try Sanctuary and it did NOT disappoint. I tried the Nashville hot seitan fingers and the chik’n fried seitan and I’m obsessed! Even just the broccoli stood out and was delicious. The last place I lived really didn’t have many vegan options and I’m so grateful to be in a place with such wonderful. I’ll definitely be back!
