Don Pepito Tropical Eatery

What a fabulous place with amazing unique food. We were greeted but the owner and he spent time talking with us explaining the different food and we let him choose our supper. Our waitress was amazing. This was the best dining experience i have ever had. The flavors were so different and both meals cooked to perfection. My husband and i switched meals half way through so we could each enjoy both. We had the snapper which was served with mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp and scallops and the steak mufungo. We are from Wisconsin and just got lucky choosing this place. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Jose for a wonderful experience.

Oh yes!! Don Pepito is everything I was hoping it would be. The Medalla is super cold, and for a $1. The food! OMG! I had dinner with my daughter and friends. She is a fan of tostones with mayo ketchup and when the server asked her if she wanted mayo-ketchup her eyes lighted up like she just saw Santa. The Chicharrones where on point, the portion was huge, and she ate all. Las "chuletas", where huge, the rice was so' good with the beans like my mom makes them. And don't let me star with the "mofongo and Carne Frita". Can't wait to go again, great place, great music, great prices and better yet, great flavor. Don Pepito is the real deal!

The food and the service here are amazing. Everyone who works here was friendly and attentive. When we entered we felt good and where treated more like family than guests. The gentlemen who sat us (possibly the owner) was super friendly and would check on us often and converse. He also gave my kids a ball from their crane game. The food was great and portion for price was just outstanding. No picture of the app but it was the app plate for 2 people and it was more than enough for our group of 4. The fish was cooked just right soft to break with only a fork and the steak was delicious we had to take the rest home. Would definitely go back again when I have time. It reminds me of the hospitality we receive wherever we go when we visit our family in Puerto Rico. Just a great atmosphere and great food.

On our last night in Kissimmee we chose Don Pepito Tropical. Reviews on this site were high. And for good reason: the food was awesome. Never had triomongo (fried plantain, cassava and something else I have never eaten before) with plump shrimp and delicious creamy garlic sauce. Hubby had a thin steak and two orders of mashed potato as rice isn't his thing. Two thumbs up. If we are in central Florida again, we will be back. By the way, my steak and potatoes man tried the dish posted. He said it was good. High praise indeed!
