Great food and service! Some items, like the veggie dolmas, are overpriced .
Just tried them for the first time last night. Their kabobs are ballerrr. Aka delicious.
I'm not a big fan of kabob but by chance ended up here. I tried their shish kabob, it tasted so good. The best I tried so far. The folks here are super friendly as well.
Although they feature pizza and kabobs, we enjoyed lunch of a gyro salad and a Santa Fe chicken sandwich. The gyro salad featured a large amount of tasty gyro style lamb atop a basic lettuce bed with its 2 slices of cucumber and 2 slices of tomato. The Santa Fe chicken sandwich featured freshly made ciabatta bread. Good food, made well equals a place worth repeated lunch visits.
When you walk in, you are greeted by this super nice elderly man who is very patient and positive to his customers. Their food was super tasty and seemed authentic. I would definitely recommend this place.
Love this place. Moving soon and will miss my Gyro dad. Haven't had anything on the menu I wouldn't order again.
I was looking for food and wine and drove by Kensington pizza and subs . Decided to give it a try. So happy that I did! The store looks clean and food pictures made me want to try everything! The best part food comes out look good as it's on the display and taste AMAZING! I had cheesesteak sandwich and Santa fe chicken simply AMAZING! Lamb kabob was cooked perfectly and the rice was very fresh and delicious! Ordered side grilled veggies and it was cooked for the first time the way I like ( I'm very picky about food😋) They also have free delivery and deliver beer wine!! That will be definitely the only place I would call for take out food ! Thank you! My first Google review, that place is that good! Definitely will be back again!
They are respecting the COVID-19 rules. The eggplant and chicken pizza was good. Cooked everything fresh, which made a difference in the taste. Service was great. I had eaten there before, so my friend went in to check it out and she was quite happy with her pizza and so was I.
Been coming here since 2010. Amazing kabob (especially barg and lamb) with succulent/buttery/seasoned rice. Also good salad. Pizza is the best in Kensington too! Also owner is amazing... I dropped my food and he took care of me. Completely. Amazing.
I have been going to this place for years, but something has changed. The food was a bit of a gamble, but its like they are finally sorting that out now. I always get the gyro, and on the weekends the chicken kabob. The service is a lot faster now and its seems like someone is actually paying attention to detail. Keep it up! Oh yeah and they deliver beer, how great is that :).
I love this place and go at least weekly. Please ignore the review below -- the staff is more than friendly and the restaurant is very clean with great, affordable prices. I come here to pick up a 6-pack or bottle of wine just as often as I sit down to dinner here to enjoy the fantastic chicken souvlaki, chicken Parmesan, and cheap in-house beers ($3 each!). I recommend this place to anyone who's hungry or in need of a post-work drink!
This place is a combination pizza and Persian Jacob joint. I went for jujeh, kubideh, and barg kabob. That's the chicken, the ground beef, and the steak pieces kabob. The size of the meal was good, the flavor was authentic, and the grill was done right. They have the option of having the kabob over rice or a salad, though it's a buck more for lettuce for some reason. They also give a 1/2 piece of pita and two grilled tomatoes in the combo.
Overall the place is really casual but not unclean. The food was ready fairly quickly, and it was hot and tasty. They don't give utensils in your to-go order so I definitely recommend asking for some. In short, I would order again
