The baked eggplant dish is delicious, though I'm not a fan of the converted rice they use. I'd rather have it with the Greek potatoes I ordered on the side, which were very good. Greek salad with falafel is also delicious, and a good portion (the capers are a welcome addition!). Going to wait on dessert...got baklava and rice pudding, and they look tasty. The folks who served me were super nice. We need to put this place in our regular rotation! :o)
We've been missing a good, inexpensive Greek place in MoCo for a while now, and I have to admit that I didn't expect much from this place at first glance, but the food turned out to be excellent! The pastitsio was prepared perfectly, and was far better than two previous restaurants where it cost twice as much. If you're looking for good Greek food (at any price) and don't mind the atmosphere, give this place a try. You'll soon be a regular. Just wish there was one upcounty!
We did a take out from this place. Our order included a crispy flounder with loaded fries and jasmine rice, a shrimp platter with a side of Greek roasted potatoes and salad. The plates were extremely tasty and the portion sizes were huge, be mindful when you order. Highly recommend if you are looking for Greek cuisine.
I'm from Campbell, Ohio where we have a LARGE Greek population for the town. Authentic Greek Food both homemade and through various cafes and restaurants and several Greek Festivals is common. So when I seen The Big Greek Cafe, of course I had to try it. Outstanding for their selection and great authentic tastes I miss so much. I've been here several times, and had a variety of dishes. I will come back...until I move back home!
Posted on another post, but we come from a town in Ohio that has a large Greek population, so we are very accustomed to authentic Greek food from different restaurants, festivals and uea, neighbors and friends. This was a great gem to find! Foor is really good, good portions, good selection. Highly recommend trying it.

Ok let me preface this by saying I moved to this area right before covid, and came from a heavy Greek neighborhood in nyc. This is my third time trying this restaurant. Twice during covid times which I wasn't upset with but it wasn't what i was expecting but it wasn't bad.
My third time, I ordered delivery, first everything was included especially the extra sauce you pay for that everyone everywhere always forgets but we were off to a good start.
-Tried the rice pudding, ok ok ok I like it.
-Next the soup, which oh my gosh the second you pop that lid smells like a grandma has been cooking it up all day. So I was doing a little dance like even if this is bad it can't be that bad it smells so good. It looks too simple to taste this good. It's amazing, don't pass on the soup just order it like it's an extra sauce.
-Moving on we got the standard pork souvlaki sandwich. I opened the lid for a very nice presentation. Tried the pork itself, not bad would have preferred it a little bit more crunchy but that's me. Was happy it was slathered in sauce so I didn't have to do anything. Took a bite of everything and was ok it was satisfying. Mine was kinda cool temp from delivery, so I heated it up and we went from ok to Okayyyyy. Way better when it's nice and warm.
In conclusion I would order again def hits the spot.
I went for the Gyro and it satisfied my hunger! It was stacked with meat. I purchased the platter and received 2 sides - Greek fries and Greek salad. The salad was about a cup. Just FYI the olives in it still have the seeds! Careful taking that bite😬

Overall great taste of a Greek cousine! Very fresh and delicious looking. In the pictures attached, you can see my takeout order of "Our famous Gyro Pita". I actually shared it with someone thus cut in half, but entire pita would be a perfect amount of food for a great tasty lunch. Highly recommend The Big Greek Cafe and will definitely be back. The service was highly welcoming and very friendly. Great job guys!
My very favorite Greek restaurant in Montgomery County is up in Gaithersburg. But if I'm down in Rockville, this place is a good substitute. Excellent food, and literally the most amazing servers I have interacted with this month. Fantastic service, super restaurant. Highly recommended.
The gyro is absolutely delicious, it is juicy and flavorful. The pita is soft and tasty! The taziki sauce is also really good.
I do notice inconsistencies though for the gyro as last time they put little to no tzatziki sauce on my order and a friend ordered at the same time and theirs had the correct amount and the regular cube of feta, both of my orders only got half a cube. Due to this inconsistency I would say check your food before you leave.
The fries are pretty tasty, the have a really nice crunch, with a textured outside and soft inside. The Big Greek french fries had a bit of a weird after taste that I could not place.
When was the last time everything you ordered taste amaze-balls?! I'm a foodie who loves to eat! This place popped up on Door Dash and I wanted to give it a try. I was so happy that I did! The Big Greek bowl was so fresh and flavorful that I had to force myself to stop eatting it all. The fries were still warm and were tasty. I wish that had more feta but I could never have too much feta. The soup felt like if I was sick I would want this everyday until I felt better. It made me feel like my Grandma cooked it just for me! Last but not least the baklava HONEY! I love me some baklava and it was fresh, flaky, and just enough sweetness. I enjoyed everything so much that I called, spoke to the manager and told him that I enjoyed it all. So, if you want some delicious Greek food order from them!
