I was craving a salad so I stopped here for a nice Saturday night dinner with my husband. The South Padre salad was delicious and hearty. My husband had the chicken finger basket and he absolutely loved it. The cream gravy is heavenly and I'm not a huge gravy fan myself. The service was excellent and the restrooms were sparkling clean. We enjoyed our meals and look forward to another visit.

This was my first time eating here, and it certainly won't be my last. I had the chicken fried steak and it is certainly Texas-sized! I want to try some other things on the menu next time, but I highly recommend the chicken fried steak! It is delightfully delicious!

Absolutely amazing traditional American restaurant. Great selection of food, big Texas portions and reasonable pricing! The waitress was very professional and nice to us as well, which is becoming more and more rare these days. 10/10th would recommend! They have a back patio area and had live music the night I visited. Lots of fun!

Down home restaurant, cozy and friendly. Heavy duty tables and chairs, too. The chicken fried steak was one of the best I've ever had!! My wife got a burger and she loved it, also. The prices are reasonable, definitely a great value.

Was working nearby, decided to stop in and grab a bacon/jalapeño cheeseburger. Service was great. Food came quick and was hot and fresh. The hamburger buns were fresh and good. Very neat little place. A little pricey but that wont keep me from coming back and trying something else 👍

We both ordered the chicken fried steak. One with fries, Mac & cheese, and the other with a baked potato and corn.
The food was good. We left with a full stomach, and the wallet was not much lighter.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. We'll be back to try other menu items.

Ethan was awesome even though we arrived closer to close than I normally like to. Food was above expectations, and prices were decent as well. Pitchers are pork chop,super nachos and a Frisco burger 🍔 all were very tasty.

I don’t know where to start, this place is REALLY good. They have some of the best Burgers and Chicken Fried Steak, and their dessert are delicious. I highly recommend this place if you are in Katy.

This place is simply heart warmingly, good down home Texas country food and welcoming family service!! There is a good wait to get in but it was ABSOLUTELY worth it!! The food is ALL homemade from scratch with the best ingredients in all of Texas. You will have a tootin time enjoying the free music on Friday or Saturday’s as well. The question isn’t whether or not you want to eat here or the quality of the service and food but rather how fast can you get here??!!! Thanks for a good homemade and delicious Texas meal with top notch service that beats anyone, despite how busy they are. These people CARE and will go out of there way to get you fed and make you happy 😃 PS…. Get a Texas sized slice of that down home Peach cobbler! Trust me, you won’t regret it.
