Overall 4: Food 4.5 Fresh ingredients. We’ll put together dishes and combinations. Food was heavily seasoned. Service 4 Server was friendly. Because they were distracted with other staff attentiveness was lacking. We sat outside and had issues with flies. As we were constantly swatting, finally midway into dinner a manager noticed and brought over the fly fans to our table. I wish we knew they had them. Ambiance 4 We were in Hawaii so we wanted to sit outside. The paint on the tables were chipping and were in horrible condition. Did they forget to put out a table cloth? When the ukuleles started playing and signing the stress went away. Next time we’ll sit inside because it’s lovely in there and would have probably lent to a different experience.
Invited to dinner here by a friend while visiting Oahu. While it is on the upper end price wise, it is totally worth a visit here for a date, special occasion, or just a really excellent dinner. We enjoyed every dish that came out from the appetizer to dessert! Would come again next time we visit.
We are on vacation and this is one of our favorite restaurants in multiple states. We found out Roy's was minutes from our resort so we had to dine a few days later. Everything was delicious and the golf course views were amazing. We will definitely return for happy hour before we leave next week.
A beautiful restaurant to celebrate at! My wife and I enjoyed our fifth anniversary dinner here while vacationing on Oahu. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had, and my wife’s salmon was fantastic. The chocolate soufflé was a showstopper, the highlight of the evening for sure. With a beer and tip our total was about $200, so a bit pricey, but perfect for a special night!
Located conveniently next to the golf club, Roy’s Ko Olina offers the perfect respite for golfers seeking a cold drink and good food.
On a late afternoon visit after a round of golf, we found the indoor tables mainly empty. However, we were ushered to the patio seating instead, which came off as slightly odd considering the apparent availability indoors.
But any initial disappointment quickly evaporated when we met our server. His upbeat demeanor and exceptional service made our experience enjoyable and relaxing.
We timed our visit with their Aloha Hour, granting us half-priced options on some of their food options. We chose the Roy’s Canoe for Two, an ensemble that exceeded our expectations. The Dry Ponzu Dusted Honey Dipped Wings and Spicy Ahi Maki were other winners on our table.
However, the impression of value may have been different had we paid the full price. The excellent service and quality food during Aloha Hour make it worth a visit, but the regular prices might give one pause. Overall, though, Roy’s Ko Olina is a pleasant spot for post-golfing indulgence.
Experience was great as usual; same goes for the food. The employees are always so kind! The restaurant maintains a friendly/ home vibe to it. I Love it!
We had mixed experiences with the food. My sea bass with crispy belly pork and mushrooms was delicious while my wife's Poke was too salty for her taste (probably because of the mayo sauce). Other than that we had a great time and the atmosphere was the star of the night - we got a table outside and had dinner surrounded by stunning golf course views.
This place is amazing I had dinner here I had a sushi roll that is not on the menu but was recommended to me bye the server and it was the best sushi I’ve ever had. I also had a raspberry tea that was perfectly sweet and refreshing. The view was pretty as we sat with a gentle breeze with live music which was amazing and a little interactive. But when I say the serves were the BEST I mean they were the best they were fun friendly and very patient. Chad was our waiter and he’s awesome.
This place is tucked back in the golf course but the views are very good, the staff is super friendly and the food was great! Prices were very reasonable during happy hour as well.
I'm updating a previous review since we come here a few times a year. Overall it's a very nice restaurant - great food and delicious drink menu. We usually like to come for a special occasion but since it's the nicest restaurant closest to us, we've come to frequent it a bit more often when we don't feel like driving to Kapolei. I think when you're celebrating something they tend to give better service, but if you're just dining to eat, then you might end up getting a new server or someone a little less attentive. But overall we've always enjoyed the food. Wish they found a spot closer to the water rather than over a golf course but I'm sure they do well marketing that way.
