One of the best Thai I've had. Small little dive of a place but more than compensates with reasonably priced food with great flavor and taste. Highly recommend this. A tier above the other Thai places in Kzoo.
Excellent food, service, & prices!. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Kalamazoo area.
The food is delicious, the spice levels controllable, and the hot is genuinely spicy, which is a rare and wonderful thing for spice-lovers like myself to find. For those who don't love the heat or aren't used to authentic Thai heat spices, be warned their their "medium" is the equivalent to "hot" in most Americanized ethnic restaurants. I have loved everything I have tried on their menu, but a favorite has to be the curried duck. They cook it right-- it's not too dry or greasy. The portions are generous, so you'll probably have leftovers to take home, and Thai food always re-heats nicely.
The service is always prompt and polite, and they're very helpful if you're not sure what to try. Be warned, though, that if you're there are peak meal times you may have to wait. The place is pretty small, but the wait will be well worth it!
Such a great taste!!! This .... Such a great taste!!!
This place has the best Thai dishes I've tasted
Dal Primo Bullmastiffs
+4.5
Came here with a large group last year when staying in Kalamazoo for a dog show. Tonight just my handler and I went back and the waitress not only remembered us but remembered what type of wine we drank! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is A-mazing! Probably some of the best Thai I have had nation wide from appetizers to main course to soups to dessert. Be advised their medium is close to med hot or hot in other restaurants. Food is fresh fast and just plain amazing. We will visit here every time we are in town. Maybe even tomorrow or Sunday before we head home!
I. Am. Obsessed.. Bangkok Flavor is pretty spectacular. My favorites are -- their pad thai, coconut red curry, and their tom kha. Mmm mm mm.
THIS IS THE PLACE FOR THAI!. I live in Kalamazoo and once I was introduced to Bangkok Flavor I was completely addicted! They even make my favorite meal, which isn't even on the menu, without a blind of the eye! I travel a lot and I'm always looking to find Thai food, I always think maybe I'll be able to find a place even better than Bangkok flavor in a big city...but NO!! I've always been so disappointed in other Thai restaurants, NOTHING can compare!! They are always on point with spice levels as well, and my boyfriend (who is a cook himself) who is very picky about this is always pleased...I cannot give enough praise! Can't wait to get back home and get my Bangkok Flavor!!
Awesome Thai Food!. The food here is always delicious. I love all of their noodle dishes. The spring rolls are good as well.
Authentic!. I lived in Thailand for two months and have to say this is authentic Thai food! They will make it mild to spicy just how you like it. We especially love the Gang Garee, Panang and Masam curry, the Thai apple or the papaya salad are also delicious! Love that their mark up on wine is minimal compared to other restaurants so my husband and I always treat ourselves to a bottle of Clos Du Bois chardonnay. Friendly staff too!
Best Thai in the area. Their pad thai excellent and their Tom yum and Tom kha soups are both amazing!!!! You Must try this place if you like thai food. I'm going to order some now : )
Amazing!. We have tried Thai food all over the U.S. and this is among the best! My top recommendation!
I think this place should be more popular.
Their food is delicious, If you like Thai food, this is the place for you.
My personal top 3 dishes here are:
• Peanut curry noodles (MUST TRY!!!)
• Pad See Ew
• Chicken fried rice
You can get a spot pretty easily, and once you get in you will find a helpful staff.
Our food was ready in no-time and that’s good because we always come hungry.
I visited last week and AGAIN today. Everything I have tried, I've enjoyed.
Faves include: curry fried rice (w/ pork), combo appetizer for 2 plate, massaman curry, curry vegetables, Tom Ka w/ chicken.
The Tom Ka w/ chicken is delicious. Loaded w/ chicken, green onions, and baby corn in a spicy, flavorful, creamy broth. Everything I have ordered I have requested mild. It still has a little mouth burn for me, but... it burns so good. I order two every time, one to save for later. It is such a good comforting soup.
Pictured is the Tom Ka and 1/2 the combo appetizer plate. Love the peanut sauce and cucumber sauce.
Portions are generous and most entrees have lasted multiple meals.
I have dined in before, but usually get it to go.
Do yourself a favor and try this.
Ordered Thai Iced tea, Tom ka soup with shrimp and Entree # 29 Pad Talay.
Asked the server for recommendation based on what I was looking for and she was very helpful and kind and explained everything in detail. Glad I ordered what she recommended. Loved the taste of everything. 10/10. Portion sizes were good too! enjoyed left overs later on!
Consistent excellence, some of the best authentic Thai dishes you will ever taste, great employees, comfortable environment, fair prices, large portion sizes. Put all those together and there's absolutely no reason to not love Bangkok Flavor! They do it right, every time. Try it and you will crave it. Competitors can't come close to the flavor and freshness you will find here. Hands down, the best Thai restaurant I've ever experienced.
First time trying Thai food, loved the sweet and sour with chicken, and mango sticky rice
I don't usually leave reviews but the food here is fantastic. I got the Bangkok fried rice, and it made my day it was so good. The portion size was huge too. I can usually put away a lot of food, but I ended up having to take some home because they gave me a huge heaping bowl of food about twice the size of what I usually have for a single meal. The atmosphere was great too.
Amazing 😍 Thai Cuisine is our recent favorite after visiting here. Me and my wife tried the combo appetizer, Tom ka soup and Massaman curry. Everything was fantastic. We recommend medium spicy level in all the selection because hot is too spicy 😅
Very delicious food. Everything I've eaten so far tastes great. If you haven't tried anything here yet, I'd suggest trying the Pad Thai first.
Neat place with some tasty food! Seating may be limited sometimes, but wasn’t that crowded during my visit. Service wasn’t really quick, still good enough. Veggie spring rolls were good. Boss’s fried rice (winter special) was decent, however I was charged the price of Beef version even for Tofu, while other fried rices are clearly marked different. Also tried curry fried rice, but it was quite moist, with some curry gravy in the serving, which is quite unusual for fried rice. However, it was delicious and creamy! Iced tea was very good and balanced, and along with Sticky mango (purple) rice, they felt soothing enough to quench those spice flames from fried rice. I heard the staff mentioning discounts for cash payment, while they hadn’t mentioned anything to me until I paid with my credit card. Overall, food tastes good, service could be better!
FANTASTIC PLACE for an Excellent Thai Lunch.
We had the Best Thai Iced Tea, the Entrees were delicious and genorous in portions.
What a Healthy and sumptuous meal, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Highly Recommended.
