Great vegan dinner...I had the Tofu Bani sandwich. Great flavor, hefty portion. There were also other great vegan options. The waitress was so friendly, sat down at my table for 1 (so sad ;) ), and walked me through the menu. When I ordered the fries she told me they were deep fried in the same fryer as the bacon. While it was disappointing the fries were fried in the bacon grease...I'm really happy my waitress was astute enough to know I would be concerned about that. Great ambiance, cool staff...when back in town I will be back.

It was about a 30 minute wait (after 2 hour drive) but well worth it. Food is not your typical Big Boy style slop. Menu items are well thought out , flavorful, and creative. I am looking for an excuse to go back to try other menu items. Dining area is a bit small but still had a vintage charm to it. Waiting downstairs in their coffee shop to get a seat is pure genius.

We traveled all the way from Minnesota just to try this restaurant out after a friend had mentioned it to us. Definitely worth the 8 hour drive. Portion sizes are huge, and the quality of the food is amazing. Very happy and peaceful environment. The waitresses were very nice and kept our drinks topped off. Definitely will be coming back in the future when we travel this way again.

This restaurant is amazing. We stopped here on our way back home and I'm so glad we did. There was about a 40 minute wait (which was expected on a Sunday morning) but while we waited, we were able to sit in the café downstairs and enjoy a delicious coffee. Once we sat down at our table at Crows Nest, we were immediately greeted and given water to start. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The coffee was great and our meals were even better. They also bake their own bread and it's so good! If we are in the Kalamazoo area again, we will definitely return to Crows Nest for an amazing breakfast!

This is the second time I've eaten here and I can tell you it's worth the wait! No matter what kind of wait they tell you at the top of the stairs, just accept it, go downstairs and enjoy a latte for a bit. The food is amazing. One of the very best omelettes I've ever had. I've ordered off their specials menu twice now and have been extremely impressed. The attention to detail on every order is gratifying. Only drawback is that the coffee is lacking a bit considering they're above a wonderful cafe. Bottom line - the Crows Nest is a must go for breakfast fans!

Our server Kieryn was great!! Super friendly and had great vibes. I cannot express how amazing the Chilaquiles (monthly special) was with the chorizo. Man. No words. My brother said his pancakes were awesome, I had a bite and can concur. Super stoked we came here.

I don't know what took me so long to try this place because it was great. From the food to the service, we loved it. It is on the second floor so be prepared for stairs. The food was delicious and guilty at the same time as well. We will be back

7/29/23 - Still worth the hype. Don't sleep on their specials, they really knock it outta the park with those. Everytime I come here, it's a culinary delight, seriously. Original Review: Completely worth the hype. When I moved to Kzoo, I would ask everyone I met for recommendations on where to eat - everybody and their mother would rave about this place. The breakfast food is the best and beats your run of the mill diners by a long shot. I had eggs benedict and it was plentiful, hearty and hit the spot. My fiancé had the coffee French toast and man.. I have to order French toast next time I come here! Even their plain coffee is some high quality stuff with amazing, rich flavor. We arrived around 11ish on a Saturday and we were seated immediately - but honestly if you gotta wait, it's still worth it. Color this New Yorker every shade of impressed.

Great food and menu. Service is just a touch lacking. Amazing how lightly sweet the Pumpkin Chai French Toast was. Hawkeye Chicken sandwich also amazing.

An outstanding local breakfast/ brunch spot in town. Locally sourced and fresh ingredients makes a huge difference and the portion size is beyond generous. It's our go-to place for brunch in town and never disappoints. Queen Ann's Revenge, banana bread, captain's ration are all must trys. Wait times on weekends can be long sometimes but its worth the wait!

We don't do breakfast often... however, when we do it's at the Crow's Nest! Their food is always good with fresh ingredients. Staff is always attentive and friendly. Just a forewarning the restaurant is small, which adds to it's charm, but be sure to get here early or you'll be waiting on the weekends. However, if you do wait, it is more than worth it. We had the Captains Ration Omelet with pumpkin chai bread (basically pound cake/donut) and the Breakfast Burrito with banana bread (so good!).
