Review The Eagle's Nest Restaurant - Indianapolis

Martha Tucker
My husband and I went for our anniversary which is also Christmas Eve! The food is exquisite and I mean my taste buds were jumping!!! The staff is so sweet. We talked with them and really enjoyed their company. From the girls filling our water to Renae our server and Amiga Sanchez to Ruby the manager they all come across as genuine. The atmosphere is magnificent as you can see Indianapolis from the high top of the Hyatt, thus the name Eagles Nest. It is expensive but the food is worth it.

Place is cozy, it was great experience. ambiance is quite peaceful and the restaurant is clean. It’s my first time with this kind of revolving dining restaurant, we enjoyed the view we almost saw the entire city of Indianapolis. Food was palatable, Service was excellent our server was Anthony he did a very good job. We met their Manager Ms. Ruby she is nice and professional. Dining experience was overall satisfying. definitely we will be back.

I was taking here for my birthday. Such a lovely gift! The shrimp entre was very tasty. The chicken breast was juicy and tender. The mash potatoes have a very good flavor. The waitress even blessed me with dessert. #nicetimes

Very nice and eloquent restaurant!! The food tasted great but honestly you can get just as good tasting food at a cheaper price. Our waitress wasn't the most attentive. But overall it was a nice experience, it's really cool to be in a spinning restaurant!!

Had a beautiful anniversary dinner with my hubby! Our server was the very best! Great sea bass, prime rib, oh the seafood soup was amazing. Presentation was on point! The creme brûlée was perfect. They made our anniversary very special.

Absolutely amazing. The service was great. Our server(s) were so sweet and understanding of our needs and made our dinner special.

This is a wonderful restaurant experience! The food was delicious and our drinks were great. The service was not as good as we had hoped. We were told by the waiter we would have fresh bread and never received any. We only got one of the starters we asked for, and the waiter was very unattentive.

An amazing restaurant with views for days. The ambiance at night makes for an even better experience but low quality pictures. The food was delicious and dessert even better. We did make reservations ahead of time, but should have planned to watched the sunset! No matter where you sit, you will get views.

This was easily one of the best dinner experiences I’ve ever had. My fiancée and I had been talking about eating here for years and finally decided to treat ourselves to a night out, and it was worth every penny. The atmosphere is perfect: the slowly rotating restaurant gives amazing views of downtown Indianapolis, complete with the golden colors of the evening sun. Our server - Renee - was incredibly friendly, kind, personable, and sweet, and offered to take photos of us when the lighting was right. And, of course, the food was DELECTABLE. We got the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, the pork chop and sea bass for dinner, and the chocolate-hazelnut mousse cake, and every food item was even better than the last. Is it expensive? Yes, but if you’re willing to splurge on a memorable and delicious night out in Indy, it’s totally worth the money. For a fine dining experience like no other, look no further than The Eagle’s Nest.

We stayed at the Hyatt and wanted to check out their revolving restaurant. After we checked in, we went to the 20th floor to see the layout. The hostess was nice enough to let us walk around in our casual clothes (well before the dinner hour). She said there was a lounge, but there really isn't. After our walk around, she said they used to have a lounge, but during Covid they made it more seating. A server named Anja P. was standing at the host stand and was so friendly and nice, that we asked if she could be our server. She was fantastic! We'd had a late lunch, so basically ordered drinks and appetizers for dinner. She said if we didn't like the crab cakes (we did), she'd bring us a different appetizer. My husband had the Chopped salad, but it wasn't chopped. I had the burrata salad and it was good. Drinks were good pours, but we don't prefer the large ice cubes. The rotation takes around 1.5 hours, and we were able to see everything... including the sun set, and later the rising almost-full moon. It is a fun and unique thing to do!

What a wonderful anniversary! Our server, Renee, was absolutely fantastic. She even took several photos of us without prompt. She actually took our favorite photo of the evening! We completed about 1.5 rotations during the meal. Lovely view as far as the eye cod see. A bit smoggy but still quite visible. The portions of food were much more hearty than we expected a d I really felt that the pricing was fair. The cocktails we got were quite strong which was nice. Every bite we took was more mouthwatering than the last. From our seafood chowder appetizers, which we shared and they split for us (more than enough for 2 people!) To our 16 Oz prime rib dinners, med-rare. Perfectly cooked and fell apart with a fork. The garlic mashed potatoes were soooo good!. I even enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. We finished it off with the chocolate mousse cake! Oh so decedent. We had a lovely time and our server even gifted us a handmade anniversary card picked just for us 10/10

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Eagle’s Nest! The service was excellent, the views were stunning, and the food was delicious. If I had to pick a negative out of my experience, I felt the drinks were not strong enough to justify the price. Otherwise, it was a classy experience and we will be back!

The views from the restaurant of downtown Indy are very nice. The service is very friendly and eager to please. The food was good quality. All in all a nice place for a romantic dinner.

Great experience! The service and food were very good. The views of the city were the best I have seen!

We had an excellent experience! Staff was very inviting. The view of the city is fantastic and the prime rib went hand in hand.

We had dinner here last night for our 15th wedding anniversary. We got engaged here 18 years ago and have been back a couple other times, too. Ironically, the same waitress, Renee, helped us both the night we got engaged and last night for our 15th anniversary. She is fantastic and has worked at the Eagle's Nest for 27 years. She wrote Happy Engagement on our receipt 18 years ago and I still have it. Last night she gave us a lovely card and put a Happy Anniversary topper on my dessert. She also took some great photos for us. Her service is spot on. Hands down the best waitress we've ever had. All the stuff was pleasant and accommodating. We were seated right away and everything was nicely paced. The jumbo shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious. We had martinis and strawberry daiquiris and those were tasty. For the main course my husband had salmon with couscous and Brussels Sprouts. I had the filet and it was cooked to perfection and seasoned impeccably. It was the best steak I've had in a long time. For sides I had some very good, creamy mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts with bacon. Everything was so good! Dessert was chocolate moose cake with a berry topping. Yum! This is a fantastic restaurant with incredible views. We parked a few blocks away and walked. Parking was $15 but they also have valet. My husband has a nut allergy and Renee promptly alerted the kitchen staff and advised him which foods contained nuts. Highly recommend!

I love the food, the place is a need experience. Beautiful 360 view over Downtown. Perfect for romantic date ❤️ The employees are very friendly and nice people. I recommend this place 100%. When I went, I ate salmon and my husband ate Filet Mignon. Both dishes were delicious. It's worth reserving tables, they pay attention to your preferences and requests. I like that the menu is very specific and doesn't confuse you.

Had dinner and cocktails 11/12/16. Great service, awesome view, delicious venison meat balls and cheese plate. Dinner was lacking flavor. I had the halibut and cauliflower soup. Hubby had prime rib. It had a rub on it and I was still waiting on flavor. Will definitely go back for drinks, view, and appetizers!

My fiancé and I recently had dinner here for the first time. Not at all impressed from the time we entered to the time we left. The novelty of a rotating restaurant is nice but does not justify the ridiculously high priced food that is less than subpar. The crab stew was nothing more than vegetable soap from a can with not a discernible shred of crab. The lamb chops were slapped on a bed of rice with charred cauliflower and drowned in a brown gravy. I won't even describe the mess my fiancé's dish of shrimp and grits looked like. The presentation was poor and the taste was on the same level. We have eaten at a number of restaurants with similar price points and dishes - this was beyond disappointing. I would never return nor recommend this place to anyone.

Renee was my waitress and she was the best every recommendation that she gave was spot on. The price was pricey but so worth it. They really did a great job and well def be back
Lovelyn Griffin
The view was fabulous! The food was good (I've had better) and our server was very attentive. The salted carmel walnut bread was very lovely and was my favorite. I would go back and recommend to anyone to try it once. Very expensive.

Booked a weekend girls trip months ago to stay at the Hyatt... also (months ago) made a reservation for 4 at 7pm at The Eagle's Nest. We got there & sat in the lounge for 50 minutes before getting our table. The waitress in the lounge was visibly frazzled so (as a former server) I figured someone didn't show up to work. Still left her a 22% tip. Food was good... but I'd only recommend going for drinks & an appetizer for the view/experience.
Brian Waterman
I'm sorry but way over priced. The best part of the night was the view. Ordered their "specialty" prime rib....16oz for $44...75% was fat, just ridiculous. Had mushrooms for a side...no flavor...how is that possible unless it was out of a can. Will never go again...read the views and they say it was not that great...should of listened and saved some money. Only a two star for the view.

Went for our 1 year anniversary the food was incredible the view was incredible the service was excellent the waiter was very willing to explain everything on the menu in lemans term for us we both got steaks an really just couldn't ask for a better experience

My boyfriend and I came and we liked it! It was pretty cool to see almost all of Indy while the restaurant was spinning. The portions were kinda small but we will be coming back again for drinks, and to enjoy the view!
Laura Gleason
The food and view were Fantastic Awesome Romantic and Breathtaking . Would have given 5 stars, but I had 2 find waitress to obtain check. I would go again

I had the center cut steak and my boyfriend had the herb crusted prime rib. Both were PHENOMENAL. The salted Carmel walnut bread and butter that comes with the meal is to die for and the crab cakes that we had as an appetizer were delish. It was romantic and the music in the background was relaxing and beautiful. We had an awesome anniversary date. I want another one of those steaks ASAP!

Fantastic service! Maria was amazing and I loved having her as a server. The manager was amazing and the hospitality of him was elegant!
Jeffrey Rhone
We loved it. From the food to the view, and the wait stuff everything was amazing. Can't think you enough for a wonderful evening
Misti Kahler
Greatest time! Romantic, excellent food and great service! The salted caramel bread was the best!
Sarah Litteral
The food here is absolutely amazing! It was my first time here. The view is incredible also and I love how it spins while you eat. I had the prime rib and it was absolutely incredible. The caramel chocolate cake is fantastic as well. The service was very fast and extremely friendly. Great place!

They apparently, do NOT know what the meaning of a reservation is. Made reservations for husband's birthday & told them I wanted a window seat. They honored neither of those requests. Then it took over one hour to get our food.Service was terrible. Overpriced drinks, overpriced Entree's, overpriced sides.Sides were extra.

I thought the french onion soup had no cheese, until I found a sliver. My shrimp dish had very mild flavor, and the risotto was overcooked and soggy. Truly one of the worst meals of my life, including McDonalds. At least you don't feel like you are getting taken at McDonalds. And watch out for the mandatory 20% tip for large groups. If the service was good, maybe. The view was excellent, but just go for dessert. How they get people to show up at $35 a plate is beyond me.

Poor Customer Service. My husband surprised me on Saturday night by taking me back to reminisce the night he proposed to me at Eagle's Nest in 2011. We arrived a few minutes after 10pm, later than he had hoped due to a business dinner running late. Upon getting off the elevator we were warmly greeted and asked if we could be helped. We informed the hostess that we wanted to have a drink and dessert. The hostess said that she thought the kitchen was closed. We told her that was fine, that we would have a drink a least. My husband told her that he had proposed to me there. She did not acknowlege that she heard him but replied that she would check to see if we could still have dessert. She returned letting us know that they were serving desserts. She walked us to an area to pick a seat. We chose a table by the window. After waiting several minutes I asked my husband if we needed to find someone to serve us when our server arrived. Our server arrived by saying no one told her we were there. She asked what we wanted and we asked if she had a menu to choose a drink and dessert. She appeared annoyed to go look for a menu and she told us that the kitchen was closed. I told her that the hostess said desserts were still being served and she replied telling me that she should not have told me that. When I informed her that the hostess had gone to check, she said "She still shouldn't have told you that." As we skimmed the menu looking for what to order, my husband told our server that he had proposed to me there. Her reply was "We close at 11 and the kitchen closes at 10." She told me to go ahead and pick a dessert and she would talk to the kitchen. I pointed to two desserts and asked which one was easier for the kitchen. She told me that they would both take the same time. Our drinks arrived and they were delicious. Time passed, the dessert did not arrive. Our server stopped back at our table midway through the drinks and asked us if we wanted another drink. We told her we were not quite ready for another. She came back with the check. There was not a dessert on the bill! She never acknowledged that the dessert had not been rung in. She never apologized and said that the kitchen would not make it or have another reason for not bringing the dessert or having it on the bill. She did not return to pick up our payment. We flagged down another server to make change so that we could just leave money and not wait for change or to run our card. I have had bad servers before, but never one so rude, or never one who did not acknowledge why she did not have a dessert rung into the computer after serving us. My drink on the bill was not even the one she brought me. The restaurant did not appear to be that busy when we arrived, so I am not sure how we had such bad service or how my dessert was "forgotten". I would have understood if she came back and told me that the kitchen told her no and she was sorry that I was misinformed, or had a manager come apologize to me. Shortly before we left a few more customers came in and sat around us. We listened to her warmly greet them. I was so excited that my husband brought me back to the place he proposed that use to hold such fond memories. I left heartbroken that neither the hostess nor our server said "Congratulations" or "That is sweet, welcome back" after my husband told them he proposed to me there. I left frustrated that I wanted to stay and enjoy the view and my husband's company, but I could not wait to get out of a place we did not feel welcome. We would have been happy with a drink and no dessert, but when we were told dessert was still being served and to pick one, what were we to think when it did not arrive and was not on the check? This was our first night out in 15 months, and the romance that flooded the air when we stepped off the elevator was quickly removed with poor service and communication.

Fantastic staff.. Great food, great view of Indianapolis. Good drink selection. Most every dish is really good. Very nice overall experience.

Good food/views/service. On a recent trip to Indy we went to two restaurants, The Eagle's Nest and 1913.

The Eagle's Nest is atop the Hyatt Hotel and it is a rotating restaurant. We've been going to lots of top floor restaurants lately in our travels and I must say that this one has the best view, even if it wasn't as tall as Carriage Insignia in Detroit or The Signature Room (95th floor) in Chicago. The Signature Room, for instance, has in fact, bad tables. I think every table at TEN had the same, wonderful, view (and hey, it revolves!)

Service was very good from the hostess to the many staff who attended to our needs. Everyone was pleasant and attentive. I never wanted for refills. We felt very welcome and were well cared for.

I had the crab crusted halibut and french onion soup. Soup was excellent (as was the bread basket). I would have liked a large portion perhaps. The Halibut was very good, it also came with roasted potatoes, diced, and a bed of wilted spinach. The spinach was perhaps the only miss, it was spinach, it needed to be creamed spinach, maybe some feta, something. It was plain.

My wife had the duck breast, which was very good (I know, I finished it, the benefits of marriage). It came with some mashed potatoes which were also bland.

We both had and liked our desserts.

Worst part? The chairs and tables. The chairs are incredibly low, and I'm 6'5, there was no way for me to sit comfortably. Making it worse, the table bases are very large, square, and 2-3 inches high. so the chairs are short, and the table bases artificially raise up the floor, there was no room for my legs. My wife had the opposite problem. The chairs being so short she was lower than she liked to the table. I really liked this restaurant, but if I were to change something, I would get all new tables and chairs.

That.... and I would season the sides better (my spinach, wife's potatoes). The main parts of each dish were excellent though, and the service was A+.

Now a comparison. We also got a bottle of wine, the exact same wine bottle we got at 1913 two days earlier, I mean the exact same. We paid $40 for this bottle at The Eagle's Nest, we paid $48 for it at 1913. 1913 is just off a hotel lobby on the ground floor, The Eagle's Nest rotates on the floor, I expect to pay a view premium at a restaurant like TEN, but that our wine was cheaper than at 1913. So, for what it is, TEN appears to have value.

Charcuterie appetizer locally sourced was OUTSTANDING! Breads were fresh and well executed. Filet was cooked as ordered with a flavorful demi, prime rib spot on. Kitchen staff hit all the marks.

Service staff was adequate, just did not match the level of the food quality. Did not appear as if front of house was excited about being there. Slow with drinks and follow up-Back of the house was by far the star. Looking forward to the game menu on next trip.

Will definitely return with an eye toward a better service experience.

Nice view. I took my wife and daughter to the Eagle's Nest for Mothers Day.. My daughter who is a chef and a caterer wanted to come and try it. We eat everywhere in Indy so I think we can compare on a fair basis. The other reviews of this place seem spot on, except for service. Our server was quite good and attentive. The food was very average though and it would be fair to say that it is overpriced for what you get. Nothing was bad but nothing was great. We sampled the duck, the prime rib, a fish dish and the flank steak. We also had three different salads and the broiled peach appetizer as well as the peach cobbler. Nothing special with any of these dishes. The view is the second best in the city after the Skyline Club. A great place for drinks after work or in the evening, as a place for dinner there are many better than this in Indy now.
Joe
Disappointed. I'm going to be a bit harsh in my review of the Eagle's Nest in Indianapolis. Mainly due to the fact that the experience was not up to par for what I would expect the experience to be for a restaurant of that price point.

My guest and I arrived at our scheduled reservation time (5:30pm) and waited ~5 minutes to even be greeted by the hostess. The restaurant was empty as it was still early in the evening. We ordered a bottle of wine, crab cakes, and we shared a salmon entree and a scallops and shrimp entree, along with a salad for her.

The restaurant itself was clean and the tables were presented nicely. The service was completely average - nothing stood out as anything spectacular. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was tasty. That's right - just tasty. Not amazing, not spectacular, not mind-blowing - just tasty.

Now, my complaints about the restaurant are not based on the service or the food, my complaints are based mostly around the attention to detail, or lack thereof. The restaurant's bread and butter, if you will, is the view. It is an amazing view, no doubt. But the windows are horrendously dirty. I've seen lots of complaints about this problem in other reviews, so I'm not sure why they don't keep them clean (one could argue that due to the nature of the restaurant and it's location, they would be hard to keep clean... but that's part of the restaurant experience and they knew what they were getting in to when they opened it!). Also, the wine glasses had water spots all over them, along with the silverware. The silverware is kept in bulk in the dining around as well, which seemed a bit out of place (I wasn't sure if it was a cart or an actual silverware "station," but it should probably be kept in the back.

Overall, I doubt I will be returning. The restaurant tries so hard to be "upscale," but falls short or you could even say that it "falls flat on it's face". I suppose I just expected more for a ~$200.00 meal (after tip).

You're more than welcome to feel that this review is nit-picking, but I feel the price point does NOT match the service, food, or general atmosphere.

Also, as a side note, the restaurant requests a "business casual" dress code, but this is not enforced - lots of jeans and casual clothes all around.

About the only thing more wonderful than a fantastic dinner is a fantastic dinner with a view. The Eagles Nest will provide you with adequate coverage on both fronts, but not extraordinary.

My wife has been wanting to try the Eagles Nest for some time now, and our recent trip to Indianapolis afforded us that opportunity. By our estimation, our dinner was good; it was not particularly memorable, but we left quite satisfied. I ordered the rack of elk, which incidentally, wasn't even a rack, but rather to French chops. My wife ordered the fillet. Both were cooked to perfection, and served with well seasoned accompaniment. The escargot, which is how we started, was also quite pleasant. As my wife said, "finally someone who knows how to cook wild rice". On the other hand, there was very little originality or experimentation within the menu. In fact, some of the food seemed almost trite (Like the overuse and arguably, abuse, of truffle oil). And, with so many wonderful steakhouses within blocks of the Eagles Nest, I'm not sure we were consuming the absolute best meat our money could buy on that Thursday evening.

The view, particularly when our dinner started, was primarily of factories and parking lots. Nonetheless, after we had been there a while, and the restaurant had rotated 180°, we were treated to a beautiful Indy skyline. Quick critique: the windows were atrociously dirty, with smudges and dried liquids obscuring what would otherwise have been an incredible sunset.

Having been a server in upscale restaurants when younger, I am somewhat particular about restaurant service. Our server did an adequate job of bringing us our food, if not a little slowly, but offered no value added whatsoever. Her description of the daily special came only upon request, and was limited to a listing of its ingredients. No adverbs, no adjectives, no imagery. Just the ingredients. With gratuity amounting to nearly $30, I have come to expect a little more.

In total, we were satisfied with our evening. I doubt we will return, as we were not left with the desire to do so, but we were also not disappointed either. When compared to other options in the neighborhood, I just don't think the Eagles Nest is worth it. On the other hand, when compared to other rotating, touristy, restaurants atop buildings and towers (establishments in Dallas and San Antonio come to mind), I'd say the Eagles Nest does a pretty decent job.

Expensive food but very DELICIOUS!!!. One of kind restaurant. It rotates very slowly and you will see downtown Indy 360. We came here for our New Year's eve Dinner. Special Dinner Four course meal was set and priced well. Very accomodating receptionist, service was very good. Food is the Best...Delicious and it was a big meal which is worth the price. Overall great experienced and highly recommended for couples. I do not recommend bringing small kids as a courtesy to people that wants a quiet romantic dinner. Although the place is very entertaining for kids so as a parent if you think you can control you kids and they will behave and you are willing to pay for a pricey food then I would suggest to bring your kids with you. :)
Corey
The food was overpriced in a big way. The French onion soup was amazing and the chicken was really good as well, but this is not pub food as advertised. If you're looking for a burger, sandwich, or something reasonably priced, go elsewhere.
Ts
Horrible (as always). Unfortunately Hyatt can't seem to ever get it right with the Eagles Nest. Given the terrific view you'd thnk they'd hire competant management to take advantage of this wonderful asset especially since its remodeling. Sadly, the food and service are just horrible (as always). We thought we'd give it another chance 9/27 for our 25th wedding anniversary with a party of 9. What a dissappointment. They also make you leave a voice message and won't confirm reservations unless you get a call back! Hello? There are so many much better restuarants to choose in Indy than Eagles Nest. Go there to have a later night drink but otherwise stay away.
Lori H
Excellent. Our food and service was excellent. Craig was our server and was very polite and helpful. We each had drinks, an appetizer (the buffalo mozzarella dish), a salad, entrees, and dessert. My pasta was delicious, and so was the appetizer we split. We were absolutely stuffed, but wanted to try a dessert so we go it to-go. Everything was great, even the view after we got used to the spinning. It was not busy at all for a Thursday evening, but we had reservations anyway. We were well-prepared to spend a lot that evening, but we still felt the bill was a little too high.

Overall, it was a great night and I can't complain about the food or service. It'll just probably be a while before we come back with the prices the way they are.

Horrible. I've been to many fine dining restaurants in this city, trust me this is not one of them, food was sub par service just okay, would never go back again.
Rocky
View was great. Service was a step above the rest. Most polite and attentive waiter we've ever had. Food came out quick and tasted great. Other restaurants could learn a lot from this place

The view was amazing! The food was disappointing.

A pleasant surprise sums it up for me. Wasn't sure what to expect given this is a hotel restaurant and some less than stellar reviews. We stepped off the elevator and were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our service was prompt and friendly. The views of the city are magnificent! The restaurant has been remodeled on the inside, it has what I would call a fresh modern look. The menu also appears to have been simplified dramatically. Probably a good thing, so they can focus on just a few specialties. I don't recall seeing a steak on the menu. We had the prime rib (delicious), though the rack of elk was tempting. Mixed green salads were also fantastic. Dessert was a little small, but that's ok, we were stuffed by that point. Not a cheap date by any means, but I felt the experience was in line with the cost. You can skip the booze and some extras to make it a cheaper but still nice date. Also check restaurant dot com for some savings.

It's on the top floor for a reason.. It's the rotating Restaurant on top of the Hyatt. We went around 1.5 times during dinner. Woo hoo!

Top floor. Top food. Seriously.

Okay, on to the food.

My date had the Onion Soup and the Cordon Bleu. I had the Organic Greens and the 18oz Prime Rib.

I'm not a swineater, but she gave me a bite of the Bleu and it was okay for Blue. (Just kidding, it was tasty). She enjoyed the Soup and the Chicken, and even took some home. (Her stomach is smaller than mine)

Now..I had no idea that our server (smoking hot blonde with blue eyes that were outta this world.. ahem) would come back with this ginormous sized Prime Rib (and mashed cheese potatoes) on a hot plate and plop it down in front of me.

Ms. Wholesome (my date) says, "I'm pretty sure you'll have some nice leftovers, huh?

Are you kidding me????

BULLSHIGGITY! I SMASHED that sucka.

It was THE BEST hunk of Prime Rib I've ever tasted. It had to be USDA Prime Select. (Don't hate on my knowledge of Prime Rib, okay? LOL) It was relatively lean for a cut of that type.

I'd have it again. Without question!

We didn't have dessert, but we will next time.

Most of things on their menu looked appealing. I might try something else next time... maybe. :)

Very Fond Memories From Here. It is overpriced, but it is someplace everyone should go once. Enjoy the food, wine and the view. Take someone you want to visit with and enjoy.
Erin_elliott
WAY OVERPRICED. The food was not great for the price. The view is of course great and that is mostly what you are paying for. I had the prime rib and it was mediocre at best. My husband had the surf and turf and it was 68 dollars and again mediocre. I don't think we would return for dinner.
Scooter
Fun place. Most people have said the food at the Eagle's Nest is not particularly good, although the view is awesome. I thought the food was actually quite good, but it's very unimaginative, and the servings are enormous -- to match the equally enormous price. Still, it's a fun place with friendly, attentive service, and the view is very nice, especially after dark.
Christian
Dizzy.... Eagle's nest is fantastic. we got superb appetizers, tasty and smartly portioned, and entrees were great. my prime rib was flavorful and quite the value for the price, while my wife's filet was cooked perfectly. it just took me a few minutes to get used to the rotation. don't look at the floor--it will weird you out!
Nathan
Best filet I have ever had. Go with the filet covered in bleu cheese. Skip on the wine (I have never been a fan of Chateu St. Michelle riesling, especially for $9 (?) a glass).

Although the filet is great, what you are really paying for is the view.

The Best Rotating Birthday Dinner Ever. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was amazing. The Eagles Nest sits atop the Hyatt hotel downtown, which in itself is a beautiful building. Here's the catch: The restaurant rotates! You can notice it a little bit when you first get up there, but it rotates so slowly that once you sit down you can't really tell. It's awesome. All the tables are situated so that you can easily look out the window over the city. And since it rotates, you get to see all around the city. It's the best at night because all the lights twinkle- it's really romantic.
I had a wonderful spinach salad and an even better steak. They do have some dinner salads and pasta options, though if you're not really a meat person. And seafood i think.
It was a great experience, very romantic. I recommend it for special occasions.
