Came on date night with my husband. We ordered Sizzling Beef, Orange Beef and Beef fried rice. The food came out quickly and was flavorful! Good portions for the price. Attentive, great service! We will return with our entire family!
We are Cantonese from Austin and we have a good family dinner here. We ordered two lobsters in two flavors, one is fried lobster with ginger & scallions, the other is fried with XO sauce. Both are delicious!
We have the Chef Special Chicken too. It’s really authentic and it was executed well. The chef and high skills and great experience.
We hasn’t have the level of authentic Cantonese dishes for a while.
I have a mixed feeling at Hai Cang Harbor. Food and presentation was ok. Hai Cang Sauce was kind of salty to me. I wish they can improved the atmosphere.
This is my second time eating at Hai Càng Restaurant. From the moment I placed my order until the food was set on the table, it took less than 15 minutes. OMG, they have hired awesome chefs cook, and friendly staff make you feel very comfortable and enjoy the meal. To be honest with you, a few people gossiped about Hai Càng Restaurant, which made me hesitant to come, but the restaurant is not what I heard. You don't know until you try and see it with your own eyes.
Best food in town. We always come here in big group and most of the time had great experience with the food and friendly service even though they are busy.
Their food is tasty, seasoned well and fast!
I will definitely come back here and bring more friends.
Great food, great service. Had salt and pepper soft shelled crab, the crispy duck, steamed lobster, Hong Kong Style Lobster, salt and pepper shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp noodles, the most tasty were the soft shelled crabs and the Hong Kong Style Lobster. Definitely worth the trip!
From the exterior, the restaurant looked like it would be very small but it was not. They utilized the place very well, with many tables. Very quick service from the moment we walked in until we left. The food was delicious!! It brought back a lot of childhood memories. We ordered ginger scallion lobster, snow peas, and crab over rice. The crab over rice was my favorite. The rice on the bottom of the crab was fried rice. The restaurant has a huge menu but most of the customers ordered lobster and crab from what I observed. I highly recommend people to give this place a try. I hope to visit this establishment again in the future.
The last few times we been here for dinner the food is great and consistent. In the past a few years ago we went for my wife baby shower and everyone was disappointed. Good places to take the family since they have a wide variety food for everyone.
Wow so amazing! I was recommended this restaurant by a coworker and she didn’t disappoint. The whole restaurant works as one unit, it feel like everyone was our server. So many options that were all equally delicious. If you do go you have to eat family style, your food will come out at different (10-20min) times. It’s worked for us but just a heads up.

We came here for lunch with my coworkers. I guess they are still renovating the front outside part of the restaurant. Looks like there is a lot of seating inside. The service was fantastic, I am pretty sure it had a lot to do with the fact that one of my coworker was Vietnamese and he was speaking to them and knew what to order. We got the lobster with tamarind (awesome flavor), fried tofu! (I personally have never successfully ordered tofu anywhere, these were absolutely delicious!), Spinach, shrimp with garlic (best one I have had ever) and a few other stuff. The tanks with the fish and crustaceans they had were super clean unlike some other Chinatown restaurants I know. I will definitely be a repeat customer here! And bring more people !
So I came here for dinner the same day!! With my family since I liked it so much. Got the lobster tamarind again, this time the wife mentioned that the meat was less than what we usually get in other Chinese restaurant but good flavor. We got the broccoli dish which was good and the shrimp fried rice which had plenty of shrimp in it. Service was wonderful, they gave us a nice warm tapoica dessert to try. This place is going on my bookmarks for sure.
