We ordered pancakes with ham, coffee and desserts. Pancakes are delicious, but the sauce to them is very salty. Coffee doesn't taste good. Some desserts are delicious, and some require more attention from confectioners.
Magnificent! Nice ambiance. Such a pleasant staff. My first time here, i think Emily in Paris would find the crescents were delightful. On a brisk morning to have a quaint fireplace in version of a French Luby’s cafeteria. So 👍

Food - we both had omelets with side crossaint/toast. Yum. Why is the "appetizer" free bread so cold?
Atmosphere- it was sooooo cold. But lucky for us, there was a table near the fireplace. Winning.

Re-visited this location twice now. 8/26/23. Really good food Had the French dip and mushroom soup. Both were great. Fresh and piping hot. I'm glad I started coming back. Breakfast is great too. I get the Nouveau breakfast, yummy. Avocado toast super fresh and egg made to order, and what doesn't go with bacon.
I've been coming to La Madeleine here in Kingwood for over 7 yrs. Today was quite a disappointment. Everyone was a little discombobulated. I ate with my daughter and spent $28. I had the french onion soup, it was cold, the soup didn't even melt the cheese it comes with. My daughter had the tomato basil soup, also cold. I had the french dip. I asked for extra au jus, nope they ran out. This at 1 pm. No manager seemed to be around and the staff not really caring. What a disappointment. This place used to be great and I used to have great memories.
Food is pretty good! Portions are on the small side, but delicious.
I visited La Madeleine on Thursday, October 26th 2023 around 8:45 AM. The service for me from the cashier was good & the food was delicious. However, the customer in front of me was served poorly. She was a little bit elderly Hispanic lady with an accent & the cashier I could see was rude to her, looking at her dollar bill if it was legitimate & rolling his eyes at me when the lady couldn't understand him fully & had to repeat what he said. I felt like he was being racist towards her. Just a note of what I observed. Needless to say, every customer should be treated equally whether you are an immigrant or not.
The menu is eclectic.
My husband and I were both able to order very different meals that we both enjoyed.
The highlight of the lunch was our busboy. I wish he had a nametag, because he was attentive, professional and truly joyful...deserving a shout-out by name.
For five stars, I would like a calmer/quieter dining experience. We went for lunch and found it very loud. I would also like some quality control on the salad greens. I removed several past-prime leaves from my meal: greens that had turned yellow, had brown spots, gone slimy, etc.
We’ve always loved La Madeleine’s baked goods and food. Our favorite is the quiche Lorraine and the almond croissants.
My husband and I like to have breakfast outside when the weather cooperates.
I love this location. Always clean, staff is super friendly, and the restroom are also always clean. If you ask for the fire place to be turned on or off they will do it. Such accommodating people.
Our doctors are in the HEB center across the street. So we cross over for breakfast or lunch most of the time. Even when we are watching our calories we can split a meal that has great flavor instead of cardboard diet food.
My wife and I like their soup and salad along with the bread. They have good lunch specials with 3 items that is our go to. We have been in Kingwood for 40 years and enjoy eating here. On cool nights we stop in for coffee and a pastry by the fireplace.
