We decided to try Bellissimo based on reviews. We made dinner reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday evening. Place didn’t start getting packed until about 7:30-8pm. We were not disappointed. The 25th Street pasta was very tasty and had a nice kick and the Ravioli Ripieni was creamy and delicious. All the dishes were really good.
We went to Bellissimo's last night for HRW. I did not know of this place until I was looking at the restaurants on the list. What a find! The HRW menu is $39, but the whole menu is very reasonable with nothing over $30. And it's BYOB with a $5.00 corkage. Very unassuming and casual. Reminds me a lot of Nino's and George's Pastaria back in the 80's. We started with crab cakes and calamari. (Forgot to take pics) Crab cake had the crispiest outside and the inside was nice and creamy. Probably not lump crab, but was definitely tasty. The coating on the calamari was flavorful too, but i found some of the pieces were a little chewy. Next we had the Ceasar salad and house salad. Both were very good. House salad was slightly wilted spinach, sautéed mushrooms, feta and a balsamic dressing...nice and tangy. Ceasar was crisp and a nice salty flavor from the anchovies, but could do with a little squeeze of lemon, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. I had the filet and my husband had the salmon. Both were very good. The filet was seasoned so well and very tender. The salmon was flavorful too. The sauces for both entrees really made the dish. Dessert were good, but the tiramisu was the standout. The service was outstanding. Nancy, part of the family, was our server. She was so sweet. Let us take our time, was so responsive to our needs and just generally seemed delighted we were there. This is definitely going on my list of places to go again!
Ordered 25th Street Pasta to go. It contains Jalapeno Fettuccine with Grilled Chicken, Smoked Sausage, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Green Onions, Diced Jalapenos in a Creamy Alfredo Sauce. Pasta came with large roll. Went a few minutes after 12pm and only 8 patrons inside. Large parking lot behind building.
After seeing this place on the list for Restaurant Weeks, my partner and I decided to give this place a try.
It is very unassuming and I wouldn’t recommend this place for a date. However, the quality of food was amazing. The pasta and sauces were delicious and the protein was cooked just right.
I would definitely recommend for a casual lunch or dinner with friends or a to-go option. This place blew us away. We both agreed we will be coming back and bringing friends!
Great food it's a hidden gem located in Studewood but it's amazing flavor. The staff is amazing and it's BYOB so win win... the sauces are awesome and worth trying something new for a sauce alone.
Delicious! Great gluten free linguine in the frutti di mare. Most gluten free pasta that I’ve had at restaurants taste tacky or just not good, but this tasted like regular pasta. I like how they spoon the red pepper. It’s very generous and tasty!
Absolutely amazing service. They were patient with us and it didn't feel crowded or rushed. Will definitely go again! Food was on point and felt like I wasn't eating the same meal I usually eat!
I love this restaurant! I have come here many times and appreciate the food and quality of service. The 25th pasta and pizza are to die for! And don't forget the garlic bread!
This is the place you bring your better half to, my favorite will be pollo ala bellisimo, chicken is cook to a tender delicious consistency, the artichokes give the dish a delicious bite.. I'll just let you try for your selves..
Had a great dinner here. Service by Julian was stellar!
I had the crab cakes and the 25th street pasta. It was an amazing pasta and unlike anything I’ve had before.
They also have pizza but didn’t get to try.
