Loved the food, although the waiting time may be a little long, the wait was worth it. On a sunny day the outdoor area is s great place to absorb sunlight and take on the warmth of the sun. Recommend it if you are within Houston area.

I eat breakfast here a few times a week and I keep going back time after time not just because of the delicious food, but also the service. The staff there is helpful and friendly and just genuinely helps out where they can, which is a rare quality these days.
I have also used this particular location on a few catered events and I have to say, The General Manager, Milton, is one of the best contributing factors to the great customer service. It shows he leads by example.
I highly recommend Cafe Express, specifically this location. Go, Enjoy great service and great food.
The half roasted chicken was good. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I really liked it. I really enjoyed the salad bar as well since it had yummy bread sticks and other good options. Their grated cheese was good too. Staff was nothing great, but the place is pretty well kept overall.
Came here for lunch on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised it was not as busy as expected. Ordered a Soup and Salad meal combo, and it was pretty good for the price. I had the creamy new potato soup. I would recommend this place for a quick lunch if you work in the area.

The southwest burger was really good. The grilled chicken and pasta pesto salad was awesome. And the serious sweet tea was flavorful. The staff was very nice and attentive. We will definitely visit again.
The Post Oak area is crazy! Especially during lunch but Cafe Express is definitely fitting for them. They take out your orders quick! And the food is freaking tasty. If you're in a rush and want some good food and tons of options come here for sure.
The construction getting here was a nightmare but the space itself is great. There's free Wi-Fi which is very useful and the cafe is always open. The space is actually huge and has a ton of seats. You can find a little corner to just get work done, visit a friend or just read a book and have a peace of mind.
After years of driving by Cafe Express all over the area and, for some reason never even considering trying them, I found myself on Uber Eats a few weeks ago due to Vehicle problems and had one of the BEST Hamburgers EVER!! I just had no idea what type of Eatery they were. So started getting emails from them and saw the Ad for the Lobster Roll and thought I would track down a Location. OMG. One of the best places to eat ever, and reasonably priced, informal atmosphere. Now regret all the years I missed out. And the Lobster Bisque!! I have lived and eaten Seafood all over the Country, seven years in South Louisiana, more years than I want to admit in Houston, lol 🙂, and Cafe Express Bisque is best, Lobster or Crawfish I have ever had. You HAVE TO catch both these Menu Items while available!!!! 😋
Comfortable atmosphere, tasty food, only possible complaint is the inconsistency of the food, can be on point most times but I've received dried out bread or meat a few times here. Staff is friendly and portions are good, condiments and drink bar is top notch. One of the few places to get a quality meal later in the evening.
